Sun Joe 2-in-1 Cordless Telescoping Grass Trimmer, 7.2 Volt (Blue)

The perfect tool for me. I no longer need to trim the edges of the lawn on my hands and knees. Works well. The shrub trimmer was perfect for the cemetery shrubs. Battery operated so do not need to use hand shrub clippers. Just began using it so don't know about battery life yet.

This trimmer is a great little trimmer, ideal for getting into areas were normal weedwackers may have issues or cause damage from flying debris. Changing the blades is easy as well as installing or removing the pole. Charging takes the time stated in the manual and holds it charge very well. Having the plugs “keyed” ensures that you don't get the charging plug in the wrong receptacle. I would highly recommend this trimmer.

This Sun Joe two in one trimmer/hedger is better than I expected. The construction is not "cheezie" it is very well constructed and has some heft to it. The instructions are very explicit and you should not have any trouble assembling and changing the trimmers if you follow the instructions. I worked outside for three hours and the Sun Joe still didn't require charging. This Sun Joe has made my outside work so much easier. The grass trimmer goes right through my myrtle vines and only stops if the blades hit a thick woody portion of the vines. Even though the hedge trimmer is only 6 inches long, it did a great job on my hedges. I highly recommend the Sun Joe. Don't hesitate to purchase this great little worker.

This is great! I am 63 yrs old and this a total game changer for anyone who has a lot of weeding to do. It cuts great..I cut them then after cleaning up I sprayed on weed killer for the base of the weed.. I also have pavers which weeds pop up between and this cuts them off! It use to take me a couple of hours to do the pavers- it took me 20 minutes start to finish! Definitely a 10!!

This is the best spent $50 in a long time. Our lawn is landscaped into several beds with borders. Some with cement curbing edge and some with the regular black rounded plastic edging. This works amazing well on both edges. Our grass is quite lush and it easily cut through. Just guide it-don't force it. However, I am 5'2” and I do have to bend over a bit. If you are a tall person it may not be for you. I am actually surprised the handle can not be extended further. This would be the only downside or negative feature. I am fussy about the lawn and this cuts nicely without chewing the grass up like a string trimmer that I was not able to master.

I just used it. It's great. It cuts grass, hedges, or small branches only. It doesn't hurt my plants or trees. I can actually see my trees now that the tall grass is gone. I'm really glad I got it. I wish I bought it a while ago. Would have saved me a lot of stress.

I have used battery powered grass trimmers for years, all hand held. This one is amazing. It powered up quickly and ran for more than 60 minutes. Probably 90 minutes in 3 separate trimmings. It is light weight, makes it ideal for my arthritis. It cut aggressively on my overgrown trimming area. I could hardly believe the power. I especially appreciate that the handle allows me to reach under the greenery without wondering if a snake is hiding there or poison ivy. This also makes trimming easier on my back. I'm 75 so that's important to me. I LOVE my Sun Joe grass trimmer.

I never could get used to using a string trimmer without getting a wood chip or gouging the dirt here and there. This tool allows me to be more precise without doing any damage - especially in areas where I would have to turn the trimmer sideways such as along the driveway. This replaces other tool for 90% of the job. Two negatives: (1) I have to unplug the pole to plug in the charger. Just a nuisanse. (2) The power switch requires a lot of force to keep it depressed. After fifteen or twenty minutes of trimming (mostly with one hand - the one pressing the button), my finger doesn't want to hold the button any more. More than a nuisanse.

This trimmer is easy to use. The grass trimmer can be switched from right side to middle to left side very easily. The only drawback is that the extension pole does not stay extended. When you put pressure on it while moving the trimmer along it slips down making you bend over more resulting in back pain. I'm not returning because I like it better than the string trimmers and will try to figure out a way to prevent the slipping. The hand held hedge trimmer works great too.

Effective for trimming near garden edging where a grass trimmer would bump. The hedge function is very light but suitable for small shrubs like small arborvitae or other hedges. The pole extension is tricky and requires a bit of experimentation before you can get it to function at all.
