Easy to swallow

The small size is perfect for me. I aim for 1200mg calcium citrate a day, so the 200mg fills in the gaps to the Calicum I already have. Sometimes the contents fall out of the capsule, but very rarely. The taste is neutral and fine for me.

I wanted a calcium citrate supplement because my multi has calcium carbonate in it. However most know this form of calcium can be quite pricey, especially depending on what brand you purchase. This is not an issue at all with this product. The price Swanson is offering it for is affordable and I made my purchase during the current 2 for 1 promotion for added savings. They are easy to swallow caps and the caps are easy to open as well for those who have a hard time swallowing somewhat larger pills. Also, 200mg is a nice dosage if you are trying to supplement from different sources of calcium like I am.What can I say? Swanson has done it again. A great company that obviously has the consumer in mind while developing their products.

I actually take this to bind to oxalates in my meals, but my doctor says it's the preferred form for bone health.

I tried a different form of calcium and it upset my stomach so I quit.Decided to order Swanson's Calcium Citrate to find out if I could take it without problems. It worked. No bad effects at all.Since calcium's work is subtle, it is hard to say specifically how I am benefitting overall. Will continue to take since I know the rest of my diet does not contain that much calcium.

I bought this because the capsules are easier to take than the large ones I was taking. I appreciate that, even though I have to take 5 per day in order to get the 1000 mg of calcium I need. (The larger ones I took required me to take 3 per day) I take the citrate because I believe it absorbs easier. I do not know if the quality is better; I only know I need the calcium!
