I came so close to spending 3 times the money. So glad I didn't. This heater is spot on. I have it set to 80 and it keeps my tank between 79.8 and 80.2 whether I have the windows open or the AC on. Item arrived when they said it would. Easy setup. Fast working. If you need one, this is a good one.

This is my 2nd heater from this brand. It wasn't that I had any issues with the 1st one, I upgraded my tank from a 10g to a 40g and needed something stronger. This time I opted for the 500w. It is keeping temps perfectly at 75f. This tank is in the garage, so I'm curious to see if it's going to be enough or if I'm going have to get an extra one... It's October now in NY. Installation was a breeze and it blends in well with my tank. Specifically the tank I'm using it on is a 40g breeder tank with 1 Eastern Painted Turtle (juvenile), 9 mystery snails, 2 crayfish, and some minnows(?). It is not filled to the top, but is holding 20g of water.

Works great and i like how you can see the temperature from outside the tank because some time s the glass in side clouds up so you cant read it and it seems to work well .

Great aquarium heater

Brent April 16, 2025

Works great. I love the digital display and additional LED light that lets you know when it's in heating mode. FYI, there is a small clicking noise when it turns off and on, but it doesn't bother me and you probably won't notice it unless you are sitting with no background noise. I have a digital thermometer on the side of the tank and it is always within a degree of where it is set. I would buy another.

Love the digital display. Accidentally unplugged when moving stuff and saw it was unplugged because of the digital display.

I have 18 baby Koi in a 170 gallon tank on my back porch and this heater is perfect keeping the temp at 70 degrees

I've had this aquarium heater for about a month, and it's working exactly as expected! The digital display is bright and easy to read. My fish became more active with the higher water temperature.

They work okay, but not for fish

Angela January 14, 2025

I'm not using this for my fish. I'm heating large buckets of water to keep my greenhouse a little warmer in frigid winter temperatures. These work well for that. Well, I bought two. One works well consistently %26 one works occasionally. Not sure I would trust my fish with these but they're ok for the greenhouse

Excellent Overall

TealBumblebee August 29, 2025

I had the 100 before and accidentally bought the 50 when it was tome to replace. The 100 worked GREAT; but the 50 is just too weak for my needs. However, the whole reason I was replacing it was because when I cleaned the one I had, it was deep with sediment etc. That was reasonable but the little bar inside had like a rusted coat or debri on it that could not be cleaned and I was scared to put it back in the tank. The temperature was always good though and set up and clean up was easy. Maybe the rust is normal but it looked dangerous and couldn't find anything about it online being common so I don't like that I had to buy a replacement in general. I would (and did) buy the product again, my turtle loves sitting on it and has never been injured. It just would be better without the rust lol.
