This temperature gauge is great. I'm replacing the one I bought 3 years ago. It has worked consistently all this time. The thermostat in my apartment is very old, and placed too high on the wall for me to see. I use my Taylor thermometer to see the temperature in my apartment. I use it every day. I definitely recommend this product.
Very pleased. Suction holds good. I mounted it on the outside of a window with the display facing in. I can watch the outside temp from within my house. I compared the temp to a bulb thermometer and it seems very accurate.
Works very good. Easy to read and accurate.
Perfect size, easy to read numbers.
Accurate. But you need to be fairly close to read numbers. First day of use. I'll update if any issues.
When I need to know the outdoor temperature, all I need to do is look through the window at the thermometer I attached to the outside of the window (you must choose a place on the north side, so it is out of the sun). You might need to subtract a few degrees in cold weather if the window is heated from the inside of the house. Be sure the suction cup is well attached, since otherwise the device can fall, and if it's rainy and gets wet, the device can fail (which is why I had to buy a second one).
Works great, right size. Wish I had gotten white.
The Taylor Indoor/Outdoor Digital Thermometer with suction cup is great way to get a current outside temperature. The thermometer will also provide you with maximum and minimum temperature in the last 24 hour period. The thermometer that I received gives an error message when the temperature drops into the 20's (degrees F). I tried changing the battery but experienced the same problem). I am going to return this thermometer to Walmart. This is the second Taylor Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer that I purchased recently with this problem. I purchased the same thermometer last summer that works fine down to 0 (degrees F).
This review is for the Taylor 1700 Digital Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer. At first light in the morning it seemed right on the money when compared to a standard tube type thermometer. Unfortunately as the day warmed up this thing was showing as much as ten degrees too high in comparison.
Item is so small numbers are very difficult to read. Not recommended
