Taylor K-2006C Service Complete Swimming Pool Spa FAS-DPD Chlorine Test Kit

I bought this for $78 which was a fantastic deal (any higher than that and you may want to check elsewhere). The 2006C is the same as the 2006 kit except with larger bottles of reagents (2oz instead of 0.5oz), so is usually more expensive. Expiry dates for most of the reagents was 2 years away, a few were 1 year which is still reasonable. The test instruction sheet is confusing and seems like you are missing items, because it shows both the DPD test AND the FAS-DPD test, but only includes the items needed for the 2nd one. So just skip that first test in the instructions (it does say do one OR the other but it isn't immediately clear).

Feels like a pro kit.

Useful tool kit for balancing chemicals in your pool. The “C” version of this kit contains commercial size bottles that last a lot longer.

I learned a long time ago with my first pool that the water chemistry is only as good as the testing you use. They Taylor water testing products are the gold standard. In the past I've purchased the chemicals individually but this kit has all the ones I need in a handy carrier at a very reasonable price. Caution though; the latches don't always engage when you shut it so you must push down rather forcefully until you hear it click. Otherwise, you'll have bottles all over the deck.

This is hands down the most accurate pool test kit on the market. Also, the volume of tests that you're able to perform with this kit is much greater than other kits on the market. I would highly suggest utilizing this kit with an automatic speed stirring device to make it even more efficient, but overall, this is a 10/10 product.

At first, I was intimidated at the thought of using a drop water test kit since I've always been bad at chemistry. It had become clear to me that the test strips that came with the spa are just useless. I've been pleasantly surprised how easy the Taylor test kit is to use. I think it's actually kind of fun. The water in my hot tub is finally crystal clear!

Comprehensive and intuitive to use

All the regents are fresh and fully stocked but this kit does not come with R-0001 or R-0002, which is required to test for Total Chlorine. You can still test for Free and Combined Chlorine. Not a big deal, but know the limitation of this kit prior to purchasing.

An unserious company. I bought the product on Jun 10, 2024. Delivered on Jun 12. Three reagents had expiration dates less than 1 year. I reported it. They said they would help. Today I received an email saying that they can exchange or can send a refund. It has been 11 days and my problem is still not solved.
