The Taylor Swimming Pool Chlorine Bromine Alkalinity Hardness pH DP Test Kit is widely praised for its detailed accuracy and ease of use. It covers all the essential water chemistry levels including chlorine, bromine, pH, alkalinity, and hardness, making it ideal for maintaining a safe, clean, and balanced pool. The color-coded reagents and included step-by-step instructions allow even beginners to get precise results with every test.
I did some research before buying this kit. I decided to go with this for more accuracy compared to test strips. So, far it has made the process easy. This is my first pool and allowed me to have an easy startup (knowing exactly what needed balancing and allowing me to buy the appropriate supplies needed without buying unnecessary stuff) Ive had Crystal clear water since startup and has been a little-over a month. I will know more after my first re-opening of the pool next year, but so far I'm very pleased with this kit.
This kit is very handy, specially if you are cleaning your own pool. I don't know if many people know this but if your pool's CYA (Cyanuric acid) level is too high, then your pool needs more chlorine than normal to maintain it properly chlorinated. Once the CYA level is high, you need to empty about 30% or more of your pool water and add new water in order to reduce the CYA properly. This is why it's important to check the chemistry of your pool water, you don't want to be swimming in a pool where the bacteria and algae are living microscopically even if the water looks clear.
