The price was great for the product. Compared directly to Amazon, Walmarts price compared to the quality of the product blows Amazon out of the water.

Does it spy?

Chase May 11, 2025

I wanted a tv that doesn't spy on me. I have no idea if this one does or not. It probably does because Roku knows everything you do with their tv (probably). I don't see any cameras and I haven't heard it transmit any signals through the interwebbs, but I also don't know what that would sound like. So far I can watch stuff, so that's cool. Let me know if you have one and if you see evidence of espionage. If it DOES spy then I bet this thing is tired of watching me watch Paw Patrol.

Solid smart TV for a solid price

Anonymous April 13, 2025

This TV has been great, and installation was a breeze. We already had a couple of TCL Roku TVs and every one of them has been fantastic. The picture quality is great, the smart features are amazing (especially compared to the WebOS alternatives), and it's surprisingly sturdy for the cost. I highly recommend this TV to anyone in the market!

The tv watches me

Alexis April 23, 2025

I absolutely love everything about this television. The sound is great really loud. It doesn't get loud in the middle and then lower at the end. It's louder and loudest like a radio loud and the pictures are clear and responses on time there's no delays. I love it personally and was a great price. I'm thinking about going bigger.

I was looking for a nice housewarming gift for a co-worker. And along comes walmart with a sale on day televisions, and I found the gift, so thank you very much

No real QLED brightness

Richard December 28, 2024

I compared this TV to a 2020 TCL 43S435 (S Series). While the color saturation was somewhat better, the difference in brightness was rather minor. The older TV is rated for just over 200 nits, so this TV cannot have the same panel as the 2023 TCL Q5 Series (e.g., 50Q550G), which has been measured at over 400 nits. At best, this TV has a brightness of around 300 nits. The older TV actually had noticeably better speakers, better black levels, and consumed less power (60 vs 80 watts). The newer TV has a faster image processor, since it ran cooler and could handle 4K content without crashing. It is also lighter, and a bit smaller than the old TV due to its shorter feet and absence of top and side bezels. I also examined a TCL Q6 Series TV (50Q651G), and this TV is definitely not as bright.

Be Aware

Unusable December 6, 2024

Roku makes it nearly impossible to access local stations. You can scan for channels, but it doesn't save it anywhere and if you're on Wi-Fi, then you can't access your antenna without turning off your Wi-Fi and starting over again! Trying to search the Internet for solutions offered no help. Everything redirects back to Roku. Wish I had never bought this TV! Once you spend an hour getting it set up. It's a huge hassle to return it.

Look elsewhere

Marilyn January 28, 2025

This TV is a 4000k QLED and I was expecting the picture to be crystal clear it's not, it looks blurry. I would say more like a 720 P not a 400 K. I've tried adjusting the settings and no improvement. I am very disappointed and won't be buying a TCL TV ever again.

Horrible tv

anonymous May 24, 2025

I haven't had the tv even 6 months and the sound goes out. I have to unplug the tv and plug it back in to get the sound to work again. I will return it.
