Definitely needed, if suffering with Arthritic hands! Opening cans are now a whiz! Also great if you don't have extra countertop for a standinging electric can opener.

while it looks nice, the blade and gear are thin, cheap metal. the gear doesn't grip the cans enough to turn on it's own like its supposed to. the button is very easy to push (the slightest bump turns it on), making it a safety hazard to put in a drawer that kids could get into. also, pushing the button while it is running does not stop it, as it says in the description.

Not a good product. 1) When I put in the battery it started working when it was supposed to be off. 2) First can I tried to open (a can of mushrooms) it got jammed and doesn't release.

it sticks in one spot. takes a set of batteries to do nothing. it is a total piece of junk. does not open anything. worst buy of my lifetime. sucked big time. worthless, useless, crap,!

i couldnt get it to work at first, then it started working and opened 1/2 of the can. i thought it would get better but it hasnt. it either doesnt cut the lid at all or it cuts only half of it. ive had these can opener s before and they worked great. I disappointed in this one .

Liked nothing %26 disliked everything!!! After almost 6 months of never really figuring out how to use this thing, (I don't use many canned foods) I finally googled the directions today %26 unfortunately, I've been doing it right. It literally cuts off the whole top of the can below the seam…see photo. Useless at best %26 dangerous at worst!!! Throwing it away immediately!!!

Need to return. It does not work properly. Once I got the batteries in, it started running without being attached to a can. When I was finally ready to open a can, it stalled ,made loud noise, then finally stopped without the can being opened. I will try a different brand.

‼️This Can Opener is a piece of JUNK‼️ I order this particular can opener based on the sellers description. My mother is 95 and I saw her struggling opening a can of vegetables with a manual hand can opener. I purchased this “Best Kitchen Gadget for Arthritis” thinking it would make my Moms day a bit easier. What I received was not as shown in the picture. It is white in color and the large black push button has no brand logo. (Definitely a knock off of a knock off) I placed the “Simple Automatic Electric Can Opener” on a can and pushed the button. It immediately lost grip with the can and just sat there spinning but not cutting. Three tries later it finally managed to grip the can and start cutting. Half way around the can it lost grip. Thinking I might have a defective can I tried it on a larger soup can. This time the can opener did grip well but half way through the cutting process it just stopped. Had to pry the can open off the can to get it to restart. Mom mom could of opened 10 cans manually by the time this opener cut open a 1/2 can! WHEN A COMPANY VENDOR SPECIFICALLY MARKETS TO THE ELDERLY OR THOSE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THEM BY SELLING THEM A PIECE OF JUNK THEIR RIGHTS AS VENDOR SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET AREA.

Failed the first time I used it. Can is stuck on opener. Good thing the ingredient could be poured out. I do not recommend this product. I tried a different one and it works great.
