Been using this falafel product for years. You might not get the amount of falafel balls out of the mix, but still a good and easy mix for falafel. I deep fry and you just need to watch to not over cook in fryer. Depending on oil temp it can get away from you in seconds. So watch and don't walk away as you are frying. Yummy.
This is probably the best tasting Falafel mix I've had. Granted, everyone has different tastes, but if you really like the flavour of chickpeas, you'll like this mix. I've already bought several more.
They were as expected, and had nice spice. They are great deep fried. I tried them baked too, brushed with oil, but they were not good that way. The box didn't recommend that.
Fell in love with falafel when I became a vegetarian. These were simple and easy to make cooked quickly. With salad in a spinach wrap I had the meal for lunch and dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I live in rural Ohio now, and its impossible to get a falafel here unless you cook it yourself. I've tried many brands, and this mix is very good. Good authentic taste. Two mix packets per box, and each packet makes enough for 2 people. I fried them in canola oil, and they came out great. You can bake them too, but I like to fry them. (like french fries or fried chicken - just tastes better fried) Make sure to use enough oil (about 1/4" to 1/2" in a large frying pan), and make sure the oil is HOT. I put them in a sandwich with flat bread and some lettuce, pickles, and a little ranch dressing on top. Excellent!
A good easy to make falafel. When you want some middle eastern food this works well
great product
It has a weird texture and a bitter chemical taste. The worst falafel mix I've ever have
THIS MIX IS TERRIBLE!!!! its' dry.. it's bitter!!! wish they would go back to the old mix in the white box! they changed the recipe.. don't try it!! really bad....
