Near East Couscous Mix, Original Flavor, 10 oz

This is super easy to make -- just add boiling water and some olive oil -- and serve hot as a side like rice or cold in a salad mixed with lemon, tomato, cucumber, peppers and mint or parsley.

I cooked couscous with onions, peppers, garlic, curry powder, chicken broth and cumin. It was easy to make. I liked the texture (first time I eat it) and will buy it again.

I prefer the plain couscous so that I can jazz it up the way I want to or just eat it with salted butter.. It's difficult to find the original these days because there are so many flavored couscous from Near East. I am happy that Walmart is carrying the OG.

I love this product. It tastes great, especially when prepared with chicken broth, and it's easy to make.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to buy the "original" couscous so I can put in my own flavours. Cooks quickly. Eaten warm or cold as a side salad. A very versatile product.

The only thing you have to worry about is adding too much water. What I found was that even though I follow their instructions it still comes out too watery so I have had to reduce the amount of water used compared to what they ask for.
