RiceSelect Arborio Rice, Italian-Style Rice for Risotto, 2 lb Jar

I'm only going to use this rice from now on. Even though the jar doesn't mention rinsing or not rinsing, I rinsed it and it rinsed cleanly. I then called RiceSelect to ask if rinsing is necessary and was told it already was pre-rinsed. I asked them to put that on their jar in future.

been using this brand for years. Never disappointed. Add some olive oil. Brown a little, or skip that step. Add some broth, bring to slow boil. Keep adding broth as it absorbs it while cooking. Generally 22-25 minutes. Never leave it alone, adding broth a little at a time. I add fresh garlic and sweet onions browned ahead of time. Add uncooked shrimp or pre cooked sausage toward the end. Add a little cheese, too. Makes a meal. Or a side.

Definitely cheaper buying it this way and making your own rather than buying premixed packets. The recipe on the back makes a huge portion, would serve maybe 6 people or more. We always cut the recipe in half and still have leftovers. Cooks up nice and the recipe on the back is perfect, we even add mushrooms or whatever veggies we have around.

This is the best rice I have ever eaten. It cost a little more . When I saw the price I had paid I went back to the old rice I bought . After a couple of meals , I went back to this rice . Don't buy anything else. Got some old rice you can have.

Arborio rice is my everything rice and is sometimes very hard to find in local grocery stores. This Walmart price on line beats one local grocery sore by $3.00 for the same container. Product bonus is the container which can be reused for storing many things. The rice itself cooks so quickly and evenly, no hard uncooked edges (because it doesn't have narrow ends) and tastes great. I use it in savory recipes and sweet rice pudding.

Best rice ever!! A little expensive, but once you use it you'll understand why It's not precooked, so it takes at least 20 minutes to cook, and it'll at least double its size. Totally natural and unprocessed; once you make the change, you wouldn't be able to go back

Bought to make rice pudding. Didn’t realize there is such a difference between this short grain and long grain rice. Short grain creates more starch, naturally thickening my pudding. One cup of rice absorbed 6 cups of liquid. Very expensive. Not sure why. Will only purchase when making pudding.

Arborio Rice is the creamiest tasting rice EVER! My family loves it. I cook it as a Risoto with mined or finely chopped fresh carrot, broccoli or broccolini, 1/2 an onion and 4-5 cherry tomatoes. Add 2 cups of low sodium Chicken Broth, 1 single cooked Italian Sausage (chopped finely) 1/2 cups of Parmesan cheese or other similar cheese and up to 1 cup of water. Once cooked, the veggies blend into the rice and make the most delicious addition to our mealtime. My family usually resists veggies except when I include them in this tasty dish. My family voted this dish a 10!

First, This one person would benefit greatly if smaller containers were offered. It is Shelf stable and I use their recipe. Be more careful than I Was with that though! The recipe Will make you about 4 or 5 servings, depending. At least it was a yield I Couldn't manage

If you are cooking risotto, this is the best rice you should use! Use onion, butter, chicken broth, white wine, and saffron!
