Tetra 1.5-Gallon Plastic Cube Aquarium Starter Kit

The tanks are nice so far ! I got some aquarium safe silicone and ran a small bead along the whole bottom seam as I read a few people had experienced leaks, I did it as a precaution as I didn't want to deal with that, you can get that silicone at petsmart or pet valu, not sure if it's also at Walmart, my bettas seem to enjoy the tank, both have made bubble nests ! I put a rock under the filter intake as I also read a few people say the filter has harmed their fish ! I put the rock just a little bit from the intake so it can still suck on debris but the fish can not get between it and the filter easily, the filter itself is not the best I won't lie, the flow is just very weak, when you first set it up it seems good but within a few days the flow seems to deminish a lot and not because of the rocks I added, even without the rocks it's still very low, tried clenaing, taking it apart, doesnt matter and both filters are doing it and ive used 4 total of these tetra small filters so its not just a dud, they are all like that unfortunately..but for a betta it's probably best as they do not like a strong flow at all, my male actually hid from the flow in a plant when I initially set it up, and I was trying to find ways to lessen the flow but it eventually did that on its own like I said, I bought warm white lights on Amazon as I dont like the super bright hospital looking white LED lights, the lid also really obstructs the light, I actually really prefer the tanks without the lid at all but I find the water evaporates SO fast but I believe that's just an issue for me as it's so dry in my house.. since the tank is plastic it can scratch easily so be careful with that, cleaning the sides or moving around substrate or decor, the sides are also super reflective like a mirror, my female better is struggling so far with her reflection, my male did it too but he got used to it fast, I'm sure she will eventually but if you notice your betta doing this it's normal, they are just not used to seeing their reflection and think someone is going to take their sweet new digs!!

Very nice. Before I had this my beta fish was just in a fish bowl and I felt bad. So I got him this and now he isn't just surviving hes thriving and he's more active. I purchased some stones and little things to put in and he's a happy little fish now. And he looks healthier. Very happy with this purchase

i need the company to email me or give me contact info . the filter on the two i bought have started spitting out ALL the water out the back onto my floor and posessions three seperate times . three . which is why im now mad because its clearly no user error when only one of the two identical tanks keeps doing this . wouldnt let me submit a review with a 1 start for some reason

Love this tank it’s the perfect size for my betta and he seems to really like it. The filter works well and whisper quiet with zero noise. I actually like the filter feature the best in comparison to my other two betta tanks so I’m buying another tank. I attached an LED to the lid to make my betta’s plants glow.

As of pick up today this is an awesome little aquarium. The filtration system is quiet and no splash. I only ran it a couple hours to oxygenate the tank because we have an elephant ear female betta so she doesn't really need the filter. This is a light weight tank yes plastic but not cheap or flimsy. Great 1st tank or office/desk light plugs in so no batteries like other kinds. So far great buy.

I bought this Tetra Cube Aquarium for my grandaughter who had won a goldfish at a school carnival a while ago. She loves caring for "Goldie" who was housed just in a small bowl with no filter. Now in her new Tetra Aquarium,Goldie is happily swimming in clear water, and my grandaughter has more time to enjoy watching Goldie instead of cleaning up after her - feeding time is easy - and the lighted cube shape makes Goldie' s new home a showroom.

My friend had this one and I liked it so I went and bought it w out reading the reviews fist. I like the tank a lot and the size is perfect and the led light is so nice! But if I had read the reviews I might have know to check to see if my tank was cracked to? I did not notice until it was all set up either. UGH!! I have to go and exchange it now. Hope they finally have this issue fixed with the new shipper or mfg because I really want the same one?

There are different versions, of this Tetra 1.5 gallon tank currently being sold. Personally, I love the version that I bought at my local Walmart. It is pretty much like the one shown, on this product page, but that the light sits on top of the lid, instead of over it. Some of the fish that are in my big 55 gallon aquarium had babies, so I found this cute one, to transfer the babies into, so they wouldn't get eaten by the bigger fish. It's perfect and cute!! The tank is square and sits on a black elevated square. It is sturdy. The tank is plastic, so be careful as it could crack if not handled carefully or if dropped. The top comes off and the led light sits on top of the hood of the tank. It has a little spot it rests in. The light has a button on it for on/off. It comes with the light, the filter and the cartridge. Be careful when using the filter, as it sucked one of my baby fish up it. Thankfully, I was able to save the baby. The filter would not be a problem for bigger fish. The filter is noisy, if you don't attach it correctly. This does not come with a heater, so I bought a little heater to go inside. It keeps the water a perfect temperature for the babies. It's a really cute and stylish tank, perfect for what I need it for. I highly recommend it.

bought one 3 months ago, and yesterday it sprung a leak in one of the corners. luckily it was a slow leak and Crimson didn't die. he's a little upset that he's back in his cup now.

My stepdaughter has had this aquarium for one month and three days. This morning I came downstairs to the sound of water trickling and saw that there was approximately one inch of water left in the tank. The rest of it had leaked overnight and has completely ruins the table it was sitting on, the portion of the wall the table was up against, and the hardwood floor directly below the table. I am waiting for a call back from Walmart regarding this but in the meantime wanted to warn people. If you do take a risk and buy this aquarium please make sure to put something waterproof underneath the aquarium and the floor so that you don't have the unpleasant surprise that waited for me this morning.
