Tetra Whisper In-Tank Filter 3i for 1-3 Gallon Aquariums

This is the ONLY filter in my opinion for a Betta! I bought a new tank for 1 of my Betta's and the filter that came with it was a lot stronger (too much for a Betta) and quit working in 2 weeks. This is perfect for tanks 1 gallon to 3 1/2 gallons and Betta's love the fact that they aren't being swished back and forth. Love this so much I ordered 3 extra's, 1 for each of my 3 Betta's. Just in case they take it off the market which is a norm for me....find something I love and bamm they take it off the market.

I really love this filter. I have a 2.5 gallon tank with a baby female Betta fish. It does NOT cause the water to move around to much. If you have a Betta with a fish tank small than 5 gallons this filter would be great.

This filter is really efficient for a small aquarium. However I had ordered two filters and I ended up connecting them both through only one of the pumps because they are so strong. The aquariums I am using them in are just 1.5 gallons each.

I have had this filter for about two months for my 2.5 gal Betta tank and it has worked great. Despite all of the negative reviews from a few years ago, I feel this filter has kept the tank clean. This pump is a little loud on hard surfaces so I just put a towel under it and I barely hear it now. I clean the tank every two weeks and when I do there is hardly and waste in it at all. In my opinion it does what it is supposed to do. I will be getting another one to put in a different tank as well.

I have several tanks throughout my home. I have a 2.5 gallon tank that originally came with a gravel filter - which I'm not a fan of. I keep my Betta in this particular tank (she stresses out in bigger tanks.) I tried several other filters, but all of them had too strong of a outflow of water. I decided to try this, and I am glad I did. The outflow of water is just right. It doesn't push my Betta around, and what little current there is, she will sometimes "play" in it. I wasn't a fan of the filter cartridge that it came with. I only used it because it came with the filter. I make my own filters (a filter media bag and some API Ammo-Carb), which works MUCH better. I recommend the filter itself, especially for Betta's, but I don't recommend the replacement filter cartridges. Plus, you can't expect the filter to suck up all of the fish mess (fecal matter, uneaten food) - that's why you use a gravel vacuum - they even make them for small tanks like mine.

So i bought this filter for my crayfish about....4 weeks ago & it hadn't upset me once. i change the cartridges whenever the cartridges bubbles up, which is probably about every 4 weeks or so. So, i got another filter for my goldfish tank, and it works completely fine. i recommend it.

Purchase was replacement for like units that had begun to run slowly. Pumps wear and do not force air strong enough for filters after a year of use. Pumps are still viable as air bubble pumps. So still a good buy.

The filters need to be rinsed in-between changes or swapped out more often, as they get clogged and water flow gets noticeable slow. Also, the pump is really loud for its small size, and will happily vibrate its way along most surfaces, which makes it even louder.

I am not a big fan. I have a Hawkeye AquaView 360 3 Gallon Aquarium, I also bought at Walmart. These two items don't mix well, it looks terrible in my tank. Not only that but it is a terrible bubbler. That being said for a different tank it could be great. Keep in mind it's super loud. Honestly I'd rather just go back to the way it was without it 50% water changes every two weeks. Bottom line if you're looking for a water filter for your 3 gallon tank this probably will work. You could find cheaper water filters that would work at Walmart the only plus I'd see with this filter is its on the smaller side. Id add it alongside an existing bubbler in a square tank, not a cylinder one like mine.

Dont really see that much of a difference in the water, and this thing is not even close to being quiet. I dont mind it because I like white noise to fall asleep to others may like it quite
