The Pioneer Woman Frontier Collection Meat Tenderizer, Deep Teal

If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the evening. Oh wait! I do! It's not my moms old meat hammer but it's a good meat hammer. Weight is well distributed and tines are a good size to not allow clumping.

I loved this meat tenderizer from the first moment I held it in my hand. Feels lightweight yet well balanced to be used for it's purpose. Also the grip is just right (I'm a woman) and usually I can't say that it matters but many times I had to tenderize meat for making Schnitzel to realize that I had to take a little break to relax my hand because the tenderize wasn't light weight or was unbalanced. Has 3 sides, one for course tenderize, one for fine kind and another one that is flat. This one is a winer.

Really like that this tenderizer has 3 different sides. Smooth, spikes, and smaller spikes. This gives flexibility of use and versatility. Decent sized grip, feels good in the hand. Has a proper balance of weight, which makes it easy to use.

This cast aluminum meat tenderizer is really sturdy. It weighs a pound so has the weight to do the job. One side is flat for chicken. One is fine and the other course to tenderize tough meat fibers before tenderizing. I flattened boneless chicken breasts so that I could stuff them. I also tenderized a bottom round steak before marinating it, and this tool worked great. With this tool, I will be able to buy less expensive cuts of beef. The handle is comfortable in my hand. I wish it was dishwasher safe, but I'd rather have a quality tool.

I love the different sides of the tool that work for different types of meat. The handle is easy to grip. There's just enough weight to the tool to get the job done and not be hard to hold.

Perfect and sturdy ! The only drawback is it is hand wash only. I prefer to sanitize via dishwasher especially since it's used mainly for raw meats.

Ok so, first, its awesome, but... the top piece, which is plastic just pops off and doesnt stay. not a huge design flaw but definitely not great to have a piece flying off while pounding meat... "pound" intended...

Absolutely terrible. Aside from it just being a wonky design weight and handle wize, the material used for the mallet part is awful. Once washed, it sheds onto your food. I don't know what it's made of or covered with, but unless you want to be eating metal flakes and who knows what else, stay AWAY from this and just get a decent, professional product. Skip the cutesy stuff, this is a terrible waste of money and possibly a health risk.

The handle on this should be round. It is not; it's oval-shaped, and it makes it difficult to use all sides. If held in its oval grip, you will have an End Point instead of one of the flat sides. Would nor recommend and I returned mine.

Not dishwasher safe despite description. I took it out of dishwasher after first use and my hands were covered in grey. The coating washed off. It would no longer be safe to use. I do not recommend this product.
