Product itself 5 stars. Im not going to knock the rating over something petty like packaging and be misleading like some do. I was curious as the device had so so ratings but the cartridges had great ratings which confused me. I took a chance anyway and thankfully I did. Mosquitos love me %26 my type O blood. I cant even go outside without getting a minimum of 5 bites within minutes. This is like a miracle and literally life saving for me. No amount of citronella, bug sprays, etc ever work for me. With this I am able to go outside, work in the flower bed, my garage, kayak, all of it and havent gotten one bite!!! Packaging however, I did get this in store but when I opened it the cartridge had leaked all inside of the bag it was in and out of it as well. There was not enough left to be usable. NOW, I did reach out to Thermacell's customer service and they were prompt to get back with me and make it right and sent me a new cartridge. Overall 11/10!!! Recommend!!
I'm someone who always gets bitten—mosquitoes seem to find me no matter what. But since I started using the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Rechargeable Adventure EX-Series EX55, I haven't gotten a single bite! I took it on our trip to Puerto Rico, and it worked wonders—even in that humid, tropical climate. It also worked amazingly well on our camping trip, keeping the whole family comfortable and bite-free. No sprays, no strong smells—just a clean, scent-free 20-foot zone of protection. It's easy to charge, super portable, and a total game-changer for anyone who's a mosquito magnet like me. Highly recommend!
I rated the product as moderately satisfied because it met most expectations (accurate description, arrived undamaged, and was easy to purchase and return), but there were issues that reduced satisfaction: the textbook arrived two days late and a promo code initially failed at checkout before being resolved. These delays and hiccups prevented a fully positive experience.
Straight up works! I had to do an engine replacement in my garage and I needed the door open for room and light. This kept my two car garage mosquito free. I did put a fan buy it to circulate the repellant better, but man did it work!
I like the way it was packaged and the Thermacell arrived promptly and in good condition. The directions are easy to follow and only needs 15 mins to activate prior to use. The cost is reasonable. We'll have the chance to use it this weekend to watch the town's fireworks display.
I bought this for July 4th. I couldn't believe how well it worked and how much area it covers. Friends and family asked me about it, and now they've purchased one. Great for camping/walking I live where there's mosquitoes and a ton of them because of a stream nearby. It's optional, you can set it on the table, clip it to your belt buckle! Very light! I use it when I'm walking at night. Easy to recharge with adapter. I was a bit hesitant spending the money on it, but I'm happy i did. Very satisfied Wal-Mart shopper!🤗
It works well as long as you keep it charged.
Not sure if this thing works well or not. Still had mosquito's but I don't guess there were as many , we were on the bayou. But it's expensive for refills. $35 for the initial unit and it lasted about 12 hours. Refill for $20 after 12 hours. Took it camping.
I was unable to open the device to put the repellent inside. After my stroke I no longer have the strength in my hands like I use to. There are two buttons a hand span apart that needs to be pushed to open the device. Using both hands on one button I can't get it to click, let alone both buttons at the same time. 😥
Product info leads you to believe this is the EX90 that Wirecutter review recommended, but it is not. It arrived and clearly it is the EX55, w/shorter battery life and other differences. I wrote to the company, but they aren't doing anything about it. Unscrupulous.
