I like how easy it was to put together and turn on. when hunting up in the stand or walking around, there is no noise or smell. Maybe 1 or 2 buzzed in my ear. 10/10 definitely recommend!
i bought my first thermacell back in the early 90's at a bow shop. Having to fight off 1k's of mosquitoes on the last bow hunt i figured why not give it a try. well a few decades later i still have my 1st thermacell to which i handed downnto my daughter for fishing. my second daughter received this one because she gets bit like me and now west nile is in new orleans she is scared. so yes these dwvices really work unbelievably over the years i have fifted and or directed it to all my friends at hunt clubs fishing guides even people i dont know Buy one for table outside bbqs and carry one wirh the case to put in a belt you will be thankful you decided to purchase. NO IM NOT GETING PAID
My son and I were getting eaten alive in the stand. A nearby friend recommended this to me, and it's been great. We warm up the Thermacell while we're walking in and saw the mosquitoes virtually drop to nothing after getting settled in the stand. Love it!
Dropped this in the middle of a hunting blind. We were on the edge of a wooded area with plenty of marshland around it. This keep the mosquitoes at bay and we know it worked because as soon as we left the blind we were swarmed.
I had an older style, not sold any more, that is lost some where in the back of our property. My son suggested this as he has had one for a couple of years and said they work pretty good. I had replacement items from my last unit and they work with this , so a win win. Easy to assemble, easy system to see when the pad needs changing (no guessing) A tip: It is a little difficult if you do not know how to remove the packaging easily from the back. The piece of plastic, that is inserted where you will put the clip that comes with the item, doesn't pop out. You need to slide it. A simple little arrow with "Slide to remove" would help :)
Best bug deterrent we have ever had. It was recommended to us by a hunter in Texas. It comes with a belt adapter. Works well with noseeums and other mosquitoes.
We live in an extremely buggy area. When walking through swampy areas, this one device covered three of us from getting eaten by mosquitoes. Make sure it is always kept upright. It will not work if tipped on its side.
Make sure you have the item running for at least 15 minutes before you stay outside near the thermacell so you won't be bitten. Other than that, it works as described.
I had one of these already and it works. It also helps keep flies away to some degrees also. But because it works, I bought another to protect a slightly larger area around the tables outside.
Didn't receive the fuel cartridge in so check item before leaving store I purchased oline and store pick up next time check item before you leave
