Seems to work well. My son and I went on a camping trip on Standing Indian Mountain. My concern was mosquitoes going into our tent and boring is as we slept. I placed the Thermacel's at the head of the tent door. We didn't have a single insect join us in the tent. I was grateful and I'd buy again.

if you're looking for a way to keep mosquito free this summer this is your product, I placed to around my pool what a difference.

Since only the design changed, and not the overall process, I expected everything to work fine. I used these last night around a firepit and they worked as expected, as every Thermacell product does. The kids of a friend of mine chipped in for Father's Day and had a company come in and treat his yard for mosquitoes. The treatment was supposed to be effective for 30 days. The week after the treatment he had a few people over and, within 30 minutes after sunset, we had to get out the bug spray. Told him he should have just brought out the Thermacell units I bought them for Christmas a couple of years ago.

I am so happy I found these. We love to sit out on our patio in the evenings. We live out in a rural area, near farm land, so the insects were terrible. I go out about 30 minutes before we are going out and turn these on, and no bugs for the rest of the evening. I highly recommend.

Seems to work to repel bugs starting about 20 minutes after it is turned on. The system is simple. The stakes would work better if the part that goes in the ground wasn't flimsy plastic, but for the price I'm not mad. They struggle to stay lit in anything windier than a light breeze. We used them camping and they were nice to have stationed around the canopy we used for food prep and eating.

It doesn't seem to be very effective at all. Even with a brand new cartridge and letting it run for an hour it just doesn't seem strong enough.

I decided to try a mosquito system, but this one doesn't work with the torrential rains that we experience. Now I have had some trouble with returns. i spend my time running around in the rain to put out the torches but it's not a product that works in the rain

Definitely does not cover 450 feet. My patio is 10 x 20 %26 I bought these for each end hoping we could host a birthday party outside in the afternoon. Mosquitos ate us alive. So odd since I have a thermocell lantern that works - of course it sits right next to my feet. Distance matters %26 this set doesn't go the distance.

Waste didn't work use this for a party and we all got bite
