I bought this for my daughter in law since I've had the same one for many years. The moist heat makes my back feel better! Just microwave it. So easy to use. I do hand wash it overnight to give it a chance to dry.
I have been using these for years. I like the way they hold the heat and stay warm for well over an hour. I just wish they were a little more durable. But I do heat them hotter than recommended by the manufacturer.
I was looking for a cordless heat pad because I tend to fall asleep with a heating pad on my back and that's not good. I have degenerative arthritis of the spine as well as spinal stenosis. Talk about everyday all day pain. Since I'm allergic to pain medication that reduces swelling, this was my last resort. Once I use this heat pad on my back I easily fall asleep and stay asleep for at least 5-6 hours vs. only sleep for 2-3 hours a night because of the pain. Thinking about buying another for my hip, I already have the sinus pack. These are recommended.
This is so much better than the small, limp, gel-filled, microwavable heating pads AND really provides MOIST heat. It was/is so good, that I purchased one for each of my adult kids. And the Walmart price was $5 less than the least expensive one I found online.
I purchased one for myself and was very delighted with the moist heat performance. I especially like that it is warmed in the microwave so you can make it warmer if you like. I went out and got one for my mom for her shoulder pain one for a friend at work with back issues.
Used in the microwave for quick heat which also provides a comforting moistness. Not necessarily soft, but it is sturdy which I like. It's flexible so can contour to the body part you want, like shoulder, arm, back. Has a carrying "flap" to help with carrying it when it is hot from the microwave.
This was exactly what I was looking for, and a good price as well. I was looking for a gift for my wife to replace her existing heating pad as that one had a funky odor every time she heated it up for use. My wife has used the new pad at least a dozen times and she has enjoyed it more than the one she had before, and it also doesn't have that funky odor.
if you have ever had rehab for an injury, you may have gotten the real moist heat that they use in the rehab clinics, which is amazing. but it's not practical to have those kinds of hot packs at home. this is the next best thing. much better than a dry heating pad for joint pain relief.
This is a nice product. I only gave it a 4 star because I also have an older one that is much nicer than this one. The old one had more stuffing/beads inside it and was much softer. This one seems a little stiff. Over all it holds heat really well. My old one has lasted through every day use for almost 2 years. Some days it is heated 2-3 times a day. I have even washed it in the washing machine and dried in the dryer. My old one has been very durable, so I hope this new one is the same.
This was a repurchase as it had a hole it the pocket and the new one weighed half the weight of the previous ones they made. Seems like they are losing quality. Doesn't hold heat as long anymore and was the same price.
