ThermoPro Digital Meat thermometer, LCD Display with Backlight for Cooking, Candy Making and Oil Deep Frying - TP500W

Excellent service all the way around, I purchased one of the thermo units for my bbq pit and my smoker some years ago and they have lasted at least 5 years after heavy use. I also used their products at work as a chef, so I knew of their quality. Kinda like a 2 for one deal: excellent quality and service from Walmart and the product. I would call that a winner.

Turning on the probe is very simple. The digits are easy to read. The magnet is strong enough to hold it's own weight, so I can stick it on my vent hood to keep it out of the way. It uses CR 2032 batteries which are very easy to swap out when needed.

I bought two of these—one for my kitchen and one specifically for soap making—and they've both worked great. The long probe is a big plus, especially for deeper pots like stews or when making candy, so you're not worried about getting too close to the heat. It's very easy to use and gives quick readings, which makes cooking and crafting a lot smoother. I also really like the magnet on the back—it's super convenient to stick it on the fridge or a metal surface so it's always within reach. I haven't used it long enough to fully judge the battery life yet, but so far I'm really happy with it and would definitely recommend it. Great thermometer with a super handy design

This thermometer is the perfect tool I was looking for and didn't know I needed! I was a little hesitant on battery operated thermometer but I'm really glad I got this. Makes checking temp so much easier than the old style one I had. Love that it's magnetic and sticks to fridge so always easy to find.

I really like this thermometer - the long probe %26 the ease of use. (I accidentally "nuked" my previous thermometer in the microwave - just 20 seconds at 20% power.)

Many thermometers to choose from. Glad I picked this one. Longer which makes it so much easier to use!

I used this thermometer to make candy for Christmas and it works great.

I really haven't figured out how to test whether it's accurate or not but it seems to be. I only complaint about it is sometimes it's difficult to turn on for some reason. I like that it has a magnet and I can keep it on the fridge for easy access instead of digging through the drawer for it I like that it comes with a cover for the tip to keep it clean and from stabbing anyone I think it's a nice product overall.
