My husband and I have several security cameras in our home that we use to monitor the main floor of our ranch home, our sump pump in the basement as well as our dog when we are away from home. I found this one from Kasa to be extremely user friendly in terms of setup and very intuitive in terms of using it. The 2K HD video makes a huge difference and I really love that it has the ability to pan/tilt, especially when monitoring our dog. There are a lot of bells and whistles on it including two-way audio, improved night vision, motion tracking and the fact that it can be easily mounted practically anywhere in our home. We don't record videos but I like that there's the option to purchase a MicroSD card or utilize cloud storage options. The Smart Actions feature is a nice touch for those that want to be alerted immediately when motion or sound is detected.

For many an item like this would be strictly for having security in mind. While security is important why not mix a little fun with that? We use our spy camera for not only monitoring a rea exit that can be an issue but also for watching the wild life that is all over the place in our area. Setup is fairly easy, instructions are good and easy to follow. The pan action is fun to have when a deer walks past our rear entrance.

Kasa Smart 2K HD pan tilt home security camera, with motion detection, two-way audio and night vision, works great. It was very easy to set up, had it up and running in about 5 minutes. The app was easy to install and walked you through connection with ease. The picture and live video are very clear really good quality. The motion detection picked up all movement and I was notified. Love that the camera follows the movement within range. The two way talk works well. The app is very easy to navigate. this camera and app work with Alexa or hey google I have been using Alexia. The night vision picture and video was much clearer then I had anticipated. A quality camera and I would highly recommend.

This camera is amazing and has many functions for such a small device. It has high definition video and live view with two-way talk and night vision. We aim it at our front door for security when we are away and at home. We can also pan it to check on our vehicle in the driveway and detects whether it is a person or an animal. The design is very attractive.

An overall easy-to-setup camera. I have experience with many such systems and some are easier to install and maintain than others. The Kasa is simply one of the best. It takes about 10 minutes to install the camera and once done - it is a set it and forget it.

This camera was so easy to set up and install. The video is clear and colorful. You can make out what someone is saying when voice is recorded. It follows a subject around the visual field once it is detected. I think I like this one better than the one I had.

You HAVE to have Wi-Fi in your home for it to work and I advise you to get a 256gb micro SD. I really like how it follows you and in the app you can turn them off for privacy. It was driving me crazy with notifications if I would sigh. Lol But it picks up the slightest sound and notifications are fast. It was very confusing to me at first but once I figured it out these are really cool.

Had a little trouble connecting it up at first to our Wi-Fi as I typed the wrong router password and it wouldn't connect. Instead of letting me reenter the password, I had to reset the whole camera which had a hidden reset button underneath next to the micro sd card slot I later learned after reading a support link for the TPlink cam. After that, connecting the cam through the Kasa TPlink app was no problem. I decided to hang it from the ceiling so I inverted the view and the 2k HD video looks good. Notifications to your cell phone can be turned on if you leave your house. The talk feature is louder and clearer than an older version I owned. You can place it under on a front porch but it's not weather proof. The only other problem I had was when we were trying to twist the camera onto the ceiling mount, it was a lot harder to do than expected. It has patrol mode, four favorite view areas you can pick, motion tracker and night vision. I would suggest a 16GB micro card or higher for storage. The only thing missing I would add would be an alarm or siren you could activate if you were away and someone broke in. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this home security cam.

The Kasa Smart 2K HD Pan Tilt Home Security Camera is an easy-to-install and easy-to-set-up home security camera. The pan & tilt feature makes it versatile for viewing any location. It mounts easily either upright or inverted with built-in ability to flip the image so it always appears upright when viewing video clips. It is AC powered so no need to replace batteries. The downside to this is that it will not operate in the event of a power failure. It requires a local WiFi connection and you'll have to download and install the Kasa Smart Home app to operate the camera and view video, both of which are easily accomplished following the included instructions. It has motion sensors that trigger the camera to capture a 1-minute video and it has motion tracking which can track a moving object/person moving through the viewing area. The camera then returns to its home position, ready for the next trigger. Areas of high activity can be masked so they don't trigger unnecessary video clips. In order to store & view video clips, you must either subscribe to the Kasa Care service or install an internal micro SD storage card. I have not subscribed as yet, so I installed the micro SD card. This works well and, depending on the size of the SD card installed, provides ample storage for video clips from 720P up to 2K. The camera has just shy of 360 degrees of rotation so an entire area can be monitored and up to 4 preset viewpoints can be saved to quickly move between them. The camera also has sound triggering capabilities to capture audio even if out of view of the camera. The only reason I gave the Kasa Smart 2K HD Pan Tilt Home Security Camera just a 4-star rating is that it requires a subscription to the Kasa Care service in order to view video clips without a micro SD storage card which is not included. Otherwise it is a very good pan/tilt camera with high quality video up to 2K.
