TP-Link RE315 - Dual Band IEEE 802.11ac 1.17 Gbit/s Wireless Range Extender

This was easy to install, and extended the wi-fi to the necessary rooms easily. Before the reception died right inside the room's door, and now it streams as it should.

Live in a 2700 square foot condo with marginal (1 bar) wifi in rear bedroom and bath. Did some research and the RE315 seemed to be the problem solver. Price was right (1/2 of normal). Arrived one week early. Installed quickly and easily. Found the correct location on the first try and now have full coverage.

A quick solution and remediation to my basement internet problem. The purchase was worth every penny.

Don't waste your time with Amazon no-name or unbranded extenders. TP-Link is proven and has a true manufacturers warranty. TP Link app makes setup simple using your choice of mobile device or home computer. Compatible with Apple Airport too.

Easy to setup with the app that you must download. Range it provides is excellent but wherever you install it must have good signal from router, one bar won't cut it. Have at least 2 bar signal! Not a big deal for most but my home has lots of signal drop from downstairs to upstairs. I had to put this extender in the room directly above the router and now have strong connection in whole upstairs. So it has great range extension. Even noticed I could stay connected to my wi-fi at the library next door! Do NOT set it up with no password or all your neighbors will be able to attach to it, that's how strong the signal will be. Great item for the price!

Easy to setup, works really well. 10/10 product

pretty easy to set up considering my router is from the same company. installed the app on the phone, already had an account online. one thing though the extender needs to be pretty close to the router I would say no more than 6 ft. once it was done it extended out just fine the most speed I could get there was 150 megabits. that's okay, at least for me. give that speed is not fast enough for you I would consider spending more money.

i mean it works butto be honest i get the same ping on ethernet that i got when i was on wireless. i would recommend it tho its cool

Sadly, while it was quick and easy to set up and use and worked, the speed was half of what it was without it!

My bad experience started with tplink's privacy statement they wanted me to agree to. It was unacceptable. You could sign it and then op out. Stupid. I just wanted to install the extender. I tried and tried. No success. The extender would kick out my WiFi and then tell me I'd lost my signal. Thee days later, after calling Apple, Apple gave me a phone number to customer service. I calle, got a live person in some foreign country but after an hour I got the four lights up but then I checked the box and hit the Finish bar, and an error message came up and said “ Looks like you e encountered a problem. The tech guy said you have four lights. It should work. It did for a couple of hours and then it kicked out my WiFi again. This was the 315 tp extender . Terrible experience for me. I'm a one armed cripple.. This may work for others willing to use their Tether app. But didn't work for me trying to install on the browser..
