Bought this switch to have entrance and garage lights turn on and off automatically at sunset and sunrise. It works great and the sep up took less than 5 mins after installation. It sync automatically to Google home and Alexa. In summary works better than other brands I have installed that cost 3 times more.

Setting this TP-Link Tapo switch up with my Google Home app was "easy peasy". Gemini has been a real pal, turning the lights on and off whenever I ask like I'm some sort of high-tech wizard. However, we need to talk about the physical "switch" itself. It seems this switch has taken a vow of stillness—it never actually moves. It's permanently stuck in the "on" position, staring at me. To operate it manually when I'm not in the mood for a chat with my AI, you have to click the bottom. I'm considering installing it upside down just to see if it changes its attitude, but to each his own! It does exactly what I need it to do, even if it is a bit of a "flat" personality. Lights out!

Easy to install and setup. It works exactly as expected, and I hope it gives many years of service. Nice programing options and functionality for the price. Set timers, preferences in the app, and link it to my google home was exactly how I expected it to work.

can turn regular lights into smart lights. I spent a fortune on Philips hue lights when I could have just used these. they only turn on and off, they don't dim or change colors.

We purchased two of these smart switches to replace two old Belkin smart switches that had stopped working. They are working great and switch power to outside lights.

easy to install. But nothing mentioned that you need a hub installed before it will work. thats an additional $100.00! it would be nice to be made aware of on pkg instead of wasting time and money.

The TP product is not compatible with my other wifi switch control apps. TP products require own special app. My Tuya SmartThings app could not activate. The TP app functions are identical to Tuya SmartThings app functions. There might be a way to merge TPLink and SmartThings according tonAIbsearch.

We are having trouble getting this remote switch to work because of software issues. There are too many different apps to download and coordinate in order for this remote to work properly!

i have many makes of smart devices in my home and investment homes that work flawlessly. The Tapo is the only one I've installed and have a problem with Google home turning it on reliably. The assistant tries to turn on but the light does not go on.. Just ask Google assistant about the known problem with TP Link devices. I'm returning it and spending a little more to assure reliability.
