The TP-Link hub and satellites replaced a Nighthawk system that failed. Nighthawk's setup was a little arcane. The TP-Link units were interchangeable, which means there is no designated hub, which makes the system more resilient and less likely to go down *********%=continued WiFi for security systems and WiFi enabled devices. Installation was intuitive and nearly automatic. Coverage is excellent, it even supports a camera on a remote building (approximately *********' away from the closest satellite). Price was fantastic, approximately 50% lower. Design is smart, simple light colored cylinder, easily blends into all locations.

I used the Deco 9 for my old house. But with the new house that is single story, this fits the bill perfectly. Sure it's still WiFi-6 instead of the 6 or Wifi-7. But with my subscription of only 800mbs, I find no reason to get the higher model. Which by the way cost twice as more. No more low or blind wifi spots with constant speed throughout the house. Installation is a breeze as soon as downloaded the app. Highly recommended for those still under the 1Gbs subscription speeds.

Overall a good product for the price. Having a tech background I tend to be more critical but I will say the Deco app has vastly improved with the setup process over time. If you are looking for an easy mesh system to expand your wifi range this is a solid choice. Please know this product can be used a standalone router and will broadcast its own SSID that you select during setup. I bought to increase wifi range which it does a good job of doing after running speed tests in areas that didn't have much signal strength. FYI: each tower does also have two ethernet ports which you can use to either connect devices or even connect a switch to if you need additional ports. I even have a digital phone connected to one of the wireless towers via ethernet cable and the reception is great!

I replaced my old router with this TP-Link mesh system, and the difference is noticeable. The speeds are consistent, even when multiple devices are connected, and the signal reaches rooms that were previously dead zones. The app makes setup simple, and I like being able to monitor connected devices. A great solution for anyone struggling with Wi-Fi coverage.

Replacement for Netgear router. Found the installation and service to be most satisfactory. The Netgear router that I had been using kept dropping connections and found that I was having to reboot it on a daily basis. The service range on this mesh system is incredible.

Over the years, I have done many technical projects, set up a mini different routers, Wi-Fi systems, and modems. This is one of the easiest systems I have ever configured. Using the mobile app, I was able to get the system up and running in less than 30 minutes. All of the settings are very easy to find, everything makes sense, and the in app support is excellent. TP-link really did a good job with this one. in the past, I have had routers and access points which either lagged, or left dead zones in my home. I have a five bedroom house, and I found that when price properly, these three units cover the entire home with excellent surface throughout. No lag, no connection loss when moving from room to room, overall a very solid system.

I spent a long time trying to get this installed. I tried to give it the same name as my previous Network and it just would not work. ended up having to call tech support and they suggested I try a completely new name. we tried that and then tried changing the name back and it quit working. once we changed it to a completely new name then everything went smoothly. now that we've got everything working it seems to work seamlessly. at least it didn't take very long to get through to Tech support.

I hooked this up and it wouldn't connect to my Spectrum modem, when I called TP-Link after talking to Spectrum, I was trying to get help to connect it to my Spectrum modem. TP-Link told me, they weren't Spectrum I had to call Spectrum, I had already did that. It was a run around when it came to support. I just boxed it up because it doesn't connect to the Spectrum modem.

In theory these should work great. However I don't want to have two networks which is what this wants to do. I just want to extend the existing network throughout my home. It also seems to not like placing them at ranges. It barely works and reduces our speed on that network dramatically so we only use them for things that are secondary. I find myself relying on mobile data more than the wifi signal cause it's always causing delays but saying good signal. Also two networks suck because of features like airplay.

My smart TVs drop the internet connection all the time since I installed this system. I've had other mesh wi-fi systems, and I've never had a problem with them. The rest of my devices seem to be okay overall, but two different smart TVs can't hold an internet connection since I started using these. Also, if something goes wrong, basically all TP-Link says is to reboot them repeatedly until they connect. Poor design
