Tramontina 3.5-Quart Enameled Cast-Iron Round Dutch Oven

I love this cast iron dutch oven. The color is beautiful and my meals that I've cooked have been mutch better than a traditional pot. Everything cooks evenly and is more tender. This is a must have especially for fall season. I've been cooking stew, casseroles and soups and they've come out fabulous.

The enamel coating is well done and makes this dutch oven easier to clean than plain cast iron. This is especially useful for dishes like baked beans or chili, which tend to remove the seasoning from plain cast iron.

This is the second Tramontina Enameled Cast-Iron cookware I purchased. It is amazing dutch oven. I can put all my components in it pop it in the oven for 40 minutes, turn of the oven and it will keep it warm till I can get it out. Even heat, hold heat for an hour after cooking in it. Also, is well made and great looking.

Good product, cooks great, easy to clean. It's iron so it's heavy. Can simmer food on low for hours without burning. Love it.

I looked at a lot of cast iron Dutch Ovens and settled on the 3.5 qt Tramontina. Washed and dried the pot and cooked Chili Colorado to perfection. Why spend $350 on a La Cruset unless you just want the name. This DO certainly does the job. Pot was delivered 3 days early and just in time for great Winter chili.

Great pot for stew or anything that needs to cook for a long time. You do have to season the top edge of the pot as well as the edge of the lid. The lid fits well and keeps in the liquids.

I recently purchased this 3.5 qt size and I also previously purchased the 6 qt version. I was so happy with the large size I purchased this smaller unit for soups etc. Both perform perfectly. Highly recommended.

Sending back because your info says it's only good to 400 degrees. I need at least 475 degrees for sourdough bread.

First let me say that I have not used it yet however, I was disappointed that the rim of the pot and lid would need to be seasoned on a ongoing basis. I also wish it was dishwasher safe although I figured that was going to be the case before I bought it. lastly I was disappointed that the preferred cooking temperature recommended by the manufacturer was 350 although it said it can withstand a temperature of 400.

I bought this for the size and color. But I would not recommend this. After few uses, the inside-bottom started to stain already. I couldn't even remove it with Bar keeper's friend. So disappointed. My Lodge on the other hand, survived a beating. My cousin accidentally turned on the burner where my Lodge was sitting and put it on high. There was nothing inside and left it turned on for about or more than 10 minutes. When he realized he screwed up, he took the pot off the burner and put in on top of a rubberized mat. Even making things worst! But after few elbow grease and some Bar keeper's friend, it's all white inside and shiny outside. Get the Lodge one instead.
