I bought two of these to process large quantities of canning ingredients and to use for water bath canning. It works great! It fits 7 quarts of whatever your canning at a time and does way more pints and half pints which can be double stacked. All you'll need is racks. Great quality and seems to be built well and feels durable. I would definitely but again and highly recommend it. I've processed almost 200 jars so far of a variety of jams, jellies, sauces, pickles, relishes etc. etc. If your into food storage/canning this is a great deal!
This stock pot was the perfect size at 12 quarts for me to make my Italian family sauce, as well as soups! I love the glass lid to be able to see inside and the lid stays in place when you offset it for steam to escape. I also love the rubber handles which make it wonderful to handle a hot pot and your hands do not slip when moving the pot. The perfect pot. I would 100% recommend.
This pot is big enough to feed a family of 30. I actually did this yesterday and still had enough sauce left over for a whole other meal. My old pot required me to stand there continuously stirring so that it wouldn't stick to the bottom. This pot doesn't stick or burn like the old one because of the bottom. So happy I purchased this.
I used it to cook down a 13lb turkey, np. One comment I read was that it was 'thin'. Ive had many ss pots over the years, some thin and inexpensive and some very thick and Very expensive (for my beer brewing only). This is not a cheap, flimsy stock pot. Its mid grade imo and will be enjoyed for many years to come. I also like the glass lid, give the pot a shake and the moisture falls away allowing for a quick look at your dish
This is my second 16 quart pot from Tramontina. I am in the process of buying a whole bunch of cookware from this company as after two years of use of the 9 quart, 12 quart, and another 16 court I just absolutely love this brand! These pots maintain heat evenly, heat up evenly and with barkeepers friend clean up quickly and look again brand new. I cook for around 25 people at least three times a week and the 16 quart size is perfect for chili, spaghetti sauce, soups, stews, Bolognese, Alfredo sauce, pasta and not to mention stocks and broths. Absolutely great value for money! I have had no issues with defects. I have dropped the glass lids at least a couple of times on tile with no serious repercussions!I highly recommend this brand now to all my friends and family!
This makes the perfect size gumbo / soup pot. You will love it. It cleans well and I love the handles. You can move the pot without pot holders. I will be purchasing one for my son since he thinks he can out cook his mother. Lol
have several of this Tramontina product line. To date, they have been unfailingly excellent. I have a set of steak knives that was gifted to me 26 years ago %26 they are just as sharp %26 good-looking as the day I received them. About 14 years ago, I was in need of a double boiler. I finally found one in this same brand. They're still like new. Again, I needed a smaller stock pot %26 purchased the 3qt. Double boiler/streamer…it still looks new as well. I needed to replace a 12 qt. Aluminum stock pot. It just seemed to me that a best idea would continue with this Tramontina brand. I am very, very glad I purchased this 16 qt. stock pot. It's exactly what I wanted. As I need to replace or add stainless cookware, I'll continue to do so with this brand. I can fully testify to my own satisfaction with this stock pot as well as the other items I own, but this brand has stood me in good stead for quite a few years. I had no reserve about giving this stock pot a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️rating.
We were looking for a stock pot that worked with our induction stove. I came across this one and the reviews were good, and the price was cheaper than I'd found at other places, so I ordered it. This pot is amazing! It's a decent weight without being too heavy and the handle grips are perfect. Highly recommend if you're needing a decent sized stock pot.
Unlike the picture on the pot that says made in Brazil, it is made in China. It should be stated clearly in the description where the item is made, disappointed. Please let the customers decide where they want their products manufactured. 😢 The pot itself seems nice, however concerned of the materials used, may or may not return.
Crap! Was cooking a pot of food set under medium heat and after cooking for around 45 min. the lid just broke to pieces. $30 worth of food was lost plus the money for the pot plus my time for preparing the food. Im not too happy. The pot I bought from Sam's Club that was half the price lasted me for years. This pot Ive had for maybe a month. Its very irritating to have to cook another meal especially when you are tired!!!!
