I absolutely love the Tropical Plantation Organic Coconut Oil. I buy it regularly, and it's by far my favorite in store option. First, the value is unbeatable. 2 huge jars that last for months which is amazing for the price. Second. I've had zero issues skin or food sensitivities and it's very versatile. So versatile whether I'm cooking or using it on skin care routines. I also love that it's cold pressed and organic, so I know I'm getting a pure high-quality product. Highly recommended.
i order the UNREFINED coconut oil to add into my 2 great danes shampoo when they get a bath. Because It's UNREFINED and cold pressed, it keeps the medicinal properties it has and its all around a great product to use. its naturally antifungal, antibacterial ,antiviral and also anti parasitic. I feed it to them a few times a week in their regular dog food and then i add it to their regukar bathing routine. it keeps their coat fresh shiny and clean and their skin healthy. it also seems to naturally repel fleas and ticks. just add a large scoop or 2 and work into the shampoo lather...work it into thr coat and skin for a few minutes. then just rinse with warm water and it will keep them fresh in between washes. ive owned danes for 20 years and i never go without this and also braggs ACV w the mother....they're 2 products that you NEED if you have a dog. oh and P.S. you can also melt this and soak a cottonball in the oil then put the soaked cotton inaide the ear canal and massage for 2 to 5 minutes. thrn cover head w a towel abd your dog will shake the cotton ball from their ears... good luck everyone! there are many decent brands, most important thing to remember is UNREFINED....as the refined doesn't do the same and its not medicinal.
I use this organic coconut all over my body every night after showering. (Except for my face; I use a natural face cream for that.) Coconut oil is very good for the skin and an economical alternative to more expensive products. Tropical Plantation Coconut Oil absorbs quickly and keeps my 76-year-old skin soft and smooth. And it feels good!
Everything about this coconut oil is fantastic. It can be used for cooking, used in your hair, as a massage oil, and ... more things... We keep it in the kitchen for many of our cooking needs as well as other locations in the house that it may be used...
Nearly flavorless, as it should be. Popcorn, this is both your cooking oil and butter in one. Cheese powder sticks to it good and it's not seed oil so you're upping your health game. A teaspoon per day in coffee is your Omegas and you can't taste it, it's not oily. It's actual food. Cook your food in food. The dwawback is it's not going to pour. Warm it like shortening, it's that consistency. Your body, regularity, plusses.
I use this oil as a healthy additive to foods that require a little coating when air-fried. But I mainly use it for popping corn. It has a high boiling point which allows it to get hot enough to allow the kernels to explode into bigger more fluffy popcorn. The only downside of using coconut oil is that it hardens when the temperature drops below 75 F. So, it can end up clogging your drainpipes! So, what I do is practice wiping it off thoroughly with paper towels before handwashing the pots and pans or putting them into the dishwasher!
Amazing value Totally worth the health benefits and taste really good coconut oil and you great for your dog great for your skin cook with them as well. We use cold a lot. Great hot or cold.
Best value on WM.com and much better than Great Value options. BUT, it doesn't really seem like TRUE Unrefined Cold Pressed and has very little coconut smell or taste that one would expect. It smells/tastes like a well made expeller pressed oil, which would mean some heat was used, and that hexane (bad solvent) might have been used. I almost returned it, but since I didn't renew SAM's membership, and couldn't find a good cost per ounce alternative, I decided to give this a try. It's okay. Not sure if I'll purchase again, since I avoid solvent processed oils.
Purchased 250925. “Tropical Plantation Organic Coconut Oil, 72 fl oz, 2 Pack” Label claims it is virgin, unrefined, never refined, and cold-pressed, and made from fresh high quality coconuts. Label states it is a product of six different countries. Label states size in faint print as “1.06 L (360Z)” -- using the %230 in OZ -- which could be easily misread as 360 Oz. Listing title says “72 fl oz, 2 Pack”, but they state at the bottom of the details 2- 36 oz. Comes in an economical wide-mouth clear polycarbonate jar with a solid screw on lid and a good internal seal. Has only a faint coconut scent (nose in jar), which might indicate it is either blended with refined oil, or made from older coconut meat. I spread it on some sharp cheddar cheese, and could only taste the cheese. It is very similar to a refined oil I tried. It is an ok value at $20.48 for 72 oz (28.4 cents per oz); But there are lower prices for refined oils -- that have honest labels.
It says on label "cold pressed from fresh high quality coconuts", if that was true I don't think it would taste like this. I've been using coconut oil for years and this is the blandest most unflavorful I've ever had. It may have cost less but it's not such a bargain when you wind up not using it because it's sub-par. Will definitely not buy this brand again.
