This is a great item to have to retrieve files from an old hard drive. It's also handy to have to put your old hard drives back into use as auxiliary storage.

Worked just as it is designed. The ease of use of hooking up to my computer was effortless. The transfer speed is rather quick when transferring data. I used this to extract data from a hard drive that was in my laptop that died.

Amazed how easy this was to use. So far I was able to pull data from 2 hard drives that did not spin up in their respective desktops.

Let me easily transfer data from old hard drives. Took a min as a first timer but if you go into properties on the drive and change ownership to your username on the pc, which takes a while to run, but is necessary to get the media off the drive.

Good buy. Did the job. Nice price and quality.

The problem is that it only worked with one of my drives. It did not work with and older IDE drive and did not work with a brand new HHD drive. If it worked it would be a good value but pretty useless as it turned out.
