I haven't installed the smoke/fire alarm yet, but it's the same one I bought in ********* and that one was easy to install and works great so I don't anticipate a problem with this one.

10 year battery fire alarm
My previous alarm was peeping for attention in the night as they all seem to do. Decided to get this alarm with a 10 year battery because I have one in the hallway. Put up the back with 2 screws and twisted the alarm onto it and pulled the activation strip and then tested it and that was it. Wont have to do that for another 10 years! Yea!

though it does work as described, you can't remove the battery and every time I cook it goes off even though it's not smokey or burning. So, when you can't remove the battery you're stuck with the blaring noise. It doesn't make life better when you have to remove it just to cook. Seems pointless.

Battery didn't last long at all, every time I changed out the batteries it kept going off. So now I can't use it.
