Does the trick. I haven't put more than three 3-in chlorine tablets in it but it may be able to fit one more. Haven't tried. Has an adjustment on the bottom to control the opening size to allow chlorinated water out back into the pool. I have it floating around in my hot tub with spillover waterfall into the pool and it seems to disperse the chlorine well enough to do the job.

Floaty
Been floating and doing its thing all summer now, no problems. Lids easy to get off and on while holding the tabs of chemicals. the ring on the side lets me tie it off to the side to keep it out of the skimmer. Not fading, chipping or looking old so far.

It's ok for the price
Works great , but it doesn't have any way to tell when tablet needs to be replaced you have to take the lid off and look inside

Should only cost $2. $5 at the most. Super cheap plastic and lid is very difficult to close and always popping off.
