my elderly mother has a strict diet of low sodium and no fresh tomatoes..she wants her mexican rice to be tasty, fluffy and red. I replaced the tomato sauce with this v8 in her rice and in chicken tortilla soup. I love that entire family loves the substitution.
I found this juice to be very tasty and I was able to find the low sodium version which I needed. I love the nutritional benefits because sometimes I do not get enough vegetables in my diet and I crave vegetables sometimes. I like that there is no sugar added and this small serving really satisfies that and makes me feel like I am getting health benefits. It is a little high priced but worth it since when I buy the big bottle, it usually goes bad before I can drink it all. These small cans are perfect to have on hand.
Of course, in my opinion V8 has the best tasting vegetable juice. However with that being said. There are a lot of people who like this product, but it has too much sodium. But, just like when Budwiser decided to incorporate Clamato with it's beer it was a success! V8 should give some thought to incorporating Tabasco to your low sodium V8 juice for awesome hot and spicy flavor without all that sodium. I use it with my low sodium V8. Just a couple of dashes does the trick!👍
It is a great V8 juice. I knew about it and it had it before but one of my cardiac nurses actually recommended it. Now I have a can nearly every day on the way to work. Great taste lower sodium and recommended by a cardiac RN. What more can I say? It's good for you!
I have never liked V-8 or tomato juice. Several years back I found myself going cross country and stopped to get a cup of coffee, still 50 miles from where I had scheduled to spend the night. I was so tired and just dragging anchor. The waitress enquired how I was, and I told her. She suggested V-8. After saying yuk, I walked around and bought a small can. She pulled out a glass, ice and I poured it in. With it ice cold I tolerated it. After finishing the glass, I found I felt a big difference. Maybe it was something my body needed. I thanked her, made the 50miles and have used it since, several yrs later.
Fabulous stuff AND Question asked about Sweetness STUFF Just not supposed to be sweet SO Questions Should have an Non Applicable or N/A selector would have kept the 1 star for sweetness EVEN Though Tomato is technically a fruit >>> But most ketchup is semi sweet taste
The only thing I dislike is hard to find it in the store in New Orleans Louisiana so I have to order it online and cost money extra to order it online but that’s how much my husband likes it and they can’t keep it on the shelf so I don’t understand why they can’t keep carrying it
Been buying it for ages. Perfect for mornings that you need something quick. It is also a great base for soups or many casseroles. I use it in my meatloaf to add a little kick. It is a touch salty, but you can add a few dops of lemon juice to cut that.
I like to keep these around for hurricane preparation. They also come in handy when my tomato spaghetti sauce is too thick. I’ve always loved the flavor of a V-8. only 60 cal is a bonus too.
Ease of use as opossed to plastic jug. However it has a tin taste compared to the bottles. I like that I can use a single serving and not a large bottle in the fridge with a timeline to use. I prefer it more of a room temperature which you have to refrigerate the open bottle. Just as you should not refrigerate tomatoes, better flavor at room temp
