For anyone who is on a low sodium diet. Low sodium V8 is a very healthy and, in my opinion is the best vegetable juice on the market. I switched from the plastic large bottles to the 11.5 ounce cans for freshness. Because once you open the big bottle you don't have long to finish it before it looses it's freshness. And Walmart offered a great price for a case of 24 cans. Done Deal. Also free delivery! I will definitely continue to buy the case of cans from now on. I actually add a couple of shakes of Tabasco, and boom 💥 I have hot and spicy V8 without the high sodium. 😋👍👍
Low sodium V8 juice we buy to put in our vegetable soup because I don't like a strong tomato taste and I care for my 89 year old father who can't have more salt than you are allowed daily. I think it's great for soup we don't drink it but we hopefully still get the health benefits from the vegetables.
For awhile, this was cheaper than the Walmart brand of vegetable juice, and probably the same stuff inside. Then, even when the price went up (again!), it was worth it to keep getting the same V8 brand. tastes just as good, and I know I'm getting the best brand, at a great value. I go through a bottle a week, it seems.
This is a healthy product. To make up for the lack of salt, I squirt in some lemon juice and drink this chilled. I love it. The downside is that I wish this product was selling for $1 less. Every now and then, I see the same thing sold for $1.50 less than Walmart's cost.
This low sodium V8 juice is great! it does not taste like it has less salt. I am on a sodium restricted diet and use this to get in some needed vitamins and minerals. Give it a try....I think you will like it too!
I have developed a taste for the low sodium V8, however, I still miss my salt. A dietician recommended that I try it for night time leg cramps because of the high potassium content. When I did it seemed to work. No more leg cramps after I went back to bed. So on that note, I do recommend this product. Still miss the salt though!
I drink a couple of these a week, but I usually buy the generic version of V8 at Winco, which is about $1.50 less than the brand name version. As far as my taste buds can tell, both versions come out of the same spigot. The nearest Winco and the nearest Walmart are about an equal distance from where I live, so if I am buying just groceries I shop at Winco because prices for what I buy are cheaper there. Only slightly cheaper, but still, cheaper. If I am getting personal items or prescriptions, I will also shop for groceries at Walmart since I am already there. The only reason I am writing this is because of the strange pricing between the brand name V8 and Walmart brand of essentially the same product. Almost all Great Value items are significantly less expensive than the brand names. (Often the quality of Great Value products are the same or close to the same as their brand name brethren. Other products, not so much.) I find the Great Value version of V8 to be pretty much equal to its namesake. It is the same with the Winco version. Now here is where it gets strange: as I mentioned before, the Winco brand is a buck fifty cheaper than its next door neighbor. How much cheaper is the Great Value brand to its shelf buddy? Two pennies. That is right. Two obsolete copper coins. Why? What kind of pricing strategy is that? I once asked an assistant manager what was the deal and they said they did not know. I guess it will always be a mystery to me. The photo was taken two years ago. Today, the price difference is still the same.
I bought this low sodium V8 juice because the regular flavor was sold out %26 the 8 pack I feel is too expensive. The low sodium version to me, tastes terrible. I could only drink one glass of it. When I have some tomorrow morning I will definitely have to add some salt to each cup to be able to finish off this bottle.
This is nothing like V-8 juice. Oh my goodness to me this was horrible. I would've rather drink my own urine because seriously that's what this tasted like. This was a bottle that was bought for a person coming to a event never made it. It's been sitting around for a couple of weeks took it shake it up put it in the fridge got it cold took a slug thinking it was V8. Oh, I could've had a stomach ache. I did it when it popped and I smelled it pouring it into the class it smells like the eighth. It's flavor is just it needed salt. That's the problem.
I always. Order low sodium V8 juice due to dietary restrictions on my last order I received. 2 low sodium as I requested into regular which I cannot drink due to a diet restriction of salt. It's caused me some problems because I started drinking it without realizing what it was. If it can't be filled as ordered, it should be listed as not available. I have not. Authorized any substitution for this item
