Valvoline TCF is a good choice
I recently changed the fluid in my 2006 FX4 with this valvoline tcf. It replaced the mercon, which is hard to get regular mercon,perfectly. Read where the mercon v should never be used in the transfer case,and I only use valvoline or motorcraft fluids. After using 4wd most of the weekend, everything is good.
