Vibrant Life 10 Gallon Aquarium Starter Kit with Blue & White LED Lights

This tank is perfect! The size is actually quite nice! I think it is a little bit bigger than a 10 gallon tank… I would say more likely a 12-15 gallon tank. The filter was not working from day one but that is okay because I wanted a better filter anyways. The lightening and material of the tank are great too! I would recommend for anyones first aquarium.

Pros: My aquarium is up and running. Everything works. The filter is very loud while the pump is priming but quiets once that process is complete. Cons: Light fixture: I felt like a doofus when I couldn’t figure out how to install the light fixture. I called the company. I’m not alone, the CSR acknowledged that the picture %26 instructions are confusing, If you’re a visual learner, I found a marineland aquarium light fixture YouTube video that was helpful. This %26 marineland aquarium are sold by the same company. If needed watch the 3:57min, YouTube video titled, How to setup Marineland hidden led lights on your fish tank Filter. The outflow is strong and cannot be adjusted. This will stress %26 probably eventually kill fish that need slow moving water like bettas or guoramis. However, there are fixes. There are many YouTube diy videos on making a baffle for your filter. Some use a modified water bottle. I preferred to use the filter material method instead. I have a nice steady stream that won’t jostle my fish. The 3:44 min video is titled, how to make a good looking diy outflow baffle for your hang on back filter So far the kit seems to be a good value for the price. My aquarium has 2 giant danios 2 white tetras 2 nerite snails and 6 amano shrimp.

The tank is great, no cracks or leaks. The light works just fine but the pump does not work at all… We already had our Betta fish so he is currently in the tank with no pump. We had to buy a new one and thankfully it’s being delivered today… Walmart said we had to return the whole thing since the pump isn’t working, kinda hard to do that when we already have a fish in it. Maybe buying everything separately is a better idea.

Easy to assemble, but it does feel cheap (to be expected). Before we filled it up, my son was joking about how the sealant just looked like hot glue. Once we filled it up, I wonder if he's right, because it LEAKS from the bottom! The ONLY expectation I had of a cheap tank was to hold water without leaking, and it doesn't. We only realized it was leaking once it was almost full (we assumed the water was from us accidentally spilling). Cleanup was fun. We don't have a cleaning siphon yet, so my son used his boy scouts training to rig up a super slow siphon out of a water sprayer. That worked great, but we had to keep sopping up water while it siphoned. A generous 2 * for the ease of assembly and price. It might work well as a terrarium, but I'm not sure I'll trust another one from this brand.

Loved the price until I opened it up and saw why. It only game with one light on one side. The filter is pretty loud and not flow-adjustable. Pretty disappointed.

I've attempted now to get this item 4 times and have a few hundred dollars wrapped up in Walmart mistakes and when one finally dies get here they played kickball with it and broke it and now they are giving me trouble on sending a replacement! As big as Walmart is they can't manage to send ONE LITTLE FISHTANK IN TACK!

yup it came broken! dont even bother wasting your time buying this! and you cant see the inside of the box to see if its broken until you get it home! its rare i buy from walmart and this is why!
