My nails have been thin and brittle all my life. Since childhood this was painful and difficult as they would split and peel, or snag and break way down at the quick, requiring a bandage for about a week. This was a regular occurrence. My only known "fix" as an adult was artificial nails, which make them even thinner when stopped. Note, I have taken calcium, biotin and many other supplements for over a decade. However, I've been daily taking the vanilla collagen protein powder for over a year, I've gone without artificial nails and for the first time they don't get peel or snap off at the quick. I can wear polish or not, but they're strong! Photo attached shows dry cuticles but strong nails! (ridges are due to aging plus years of manicure chemicals.) Packaging just switched from plastic to cardboard but with a surprisingly easy lid. I like the vanilla flavor best. It's subtle, I can put it in my yogurt, cottage cheese, add it to my morning 28 oz. first water bottle. It adds a nice sweetness. I would pay more for an additional option of individual packets, for easy travel.
I love the lemon flavor the most. I only use the unflavored in my coffee. The lemon desolves in room temperature water... then I add ice, and it tastes like lemonade! Hits the spot! I've been using Vital Protiens for about 4 1/2 weeks. 2 servings every day. My super dry skin is finally hydrated after wasting hundreds on high-priced moisturizers. Its incredible. My deepest wrinkles softened, and my lips are not dried and small. I can hardly wait to see the progress after another 4 1/2 weeks. It's a bit pricy for my budget, but the benefits so far make it a good investment. I plan on a single dose daily after the 8 weeks of "collagen loading " are finished. Google that; it is super intetesting!
I used to buy Spirutein protein chocolate but they quietly changed the formula and took out main ingredients and it tasted very bland. People wrote them too and asked why it tasted so bland. It took about 4 different kinds till I found this one that was the best.
I absolutely love this chocolate collagen! I’ve been using Vital Proteins for a while now, and the results are undeniable. My nails are growing faster and stronger than ever, and I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in the overall health of my hair and skin. I am including a picture of my bare nails. What makes this even better is that it tastes great! I love to mix it into my hot beverages because it dissolves perfectly. I used to purchase this through my usual supplement source because they are a very reputable and well-loved company, but I was thrilled to find it here for a much lower price. It’s the exact same high-quality product I trust, just more affordable. Highly recommend!
The taste %26 consistency of the chocolate Vital Proteins is delicious! There’s no chalky aftertaste or clumping. The chocolate flavor is very chocolatey, while the powder is a light consistency. The only issue I have with this, that is more of a personal issue.. is that it’s very limited to what it can be used in, since it is chocolate, unlike the unflavored version. Overall, highly recommend!!
I chose this flavor over the neutral one because the app says the sodium level is lower. But turns out, it's higher (120mg instead of 80mg). I should have picked the neutral one. Walmart, please update your labels!
Smaller than I remember, except the price is the same. Good flavors, but definitely some shrinkflation going on. Will personally be moving to a different product to stretch my dollars just a little bit further. Moral of the story: Read the product details, even the ones marked “previously bought.”
Uses Stevia for sweetner, not a fan. I did get used to it, but wont purchase again, I attached photos of label as there are none on website. It mixes well with my tea concoction I drink at least 3xs daily.
The vanilla college has a horrible taste and doesn't dissolve at all, even after blanding it. 🤢 I got the chocolate and vanilla.... Both of them don't dissolve no matter what you do.
Before opening the seal under the lid you must accept their terms of implied zero liability for the product inside. No thank you!! Why would anyone use a product with a message such as that???
