After searching and buying multiple cones, I ordered a Vivifying “polka dot” in blue for my little kitty. I ordered a large and modified the cone to not stick out as far. I simply used a utility blade right through the center of the clear plastic. My buddy needed to not scratch an area around his neck and this prevented him from doing so, AND HE DIDN'T HAVE CONE PARALYSIS! The combination of soft around the neck and the firm plastic was the true star of this product. As he adjusted to the cone, he still is a playful pal, has no issues eating, drinking, or even doin' his lil' skunky burrowing thing under the blankets for cozy time :) This is inexpensive, fits well, and has awesome potential to shorten it DIY-style. Most importantly, it barely impacted my kitty in his normal day to day activities. I absolutely recommend this purchase! Note: I needed a second one to wash and swap as needed and accidentally ordered a small this time around. I ordered the correct size, Large and kept the small pink cone just in case a neighbor or friend needs one for their tiny buddy :)

i would suggest that there should be some kind of bone-in (stabilizer) in the fabric part. it took not long for my cat to smoosh the fabric down and make her tail and butt even worse had to find a hard plastic cone

Inconsistent sizing. We ordered one of these and it was great but it got old and I went to replace it, literally reordered exactly what I had- and the size is way too small. So one of the orders is very off and my poor cat is stuck in the old one. It has been chewed up by the dog while in play mode.
