VIZIO V-Series V20-J8 - Sound bar - for home theater - wireless - Bluetooth

Exceeds expectations when setup and functioning. Setup issues were resolved with TV settings. The only thing I do not like is start up after going into sleep mode. Start up is slow and hit-or-miss. Sometimes control of volume with the TV remote requires power recycling of the soundbar.

It has good robust sound for a small sound system. I did have a little trouble with the optic cable connection, but that probably won't affect most people. We purchased for our RV, so it's not used often enough to give any idea of durability. Does seem to be a good purchase if you're in need of a small bar.

This was a spur of the moment purchase. I happened to notice this Vizio soundbar on clearance for well under $50 so took a chance on it. Turned out to be a great decision. It's not surround sound, Dolby Atmos or anything fancy. But what it does do is produce a great balanced sound that gets fairly loud. I use it as often as a Bluetooth sound system as I do soundbar for the TV. If you can get one around that $50 price point. Snag it. It's a great buy.

Nice for the price. It's connected to a 10+ year old Vizio tv via the optical port and the original tv remote controls the volume for the sound bar so that's cool.

Delivered on time. Easy easy set up. Quality excellent. Price couldn't be beaten. Just remember there's a difference between an HDMI cord and arc HDMI cord. Would buy another one if possible.

There was no longer a user annual included in the box. Instead, I had to scan a QR code to print or save it. The bass, treble and volume were adjusted by listening.

Overall I am pleased with this soundbar. At times, the volume needs to be adjusted moving from channel to channel, but that could be the streaming service. The biggest issue for me was installation. The directions are lacking, I found it necessary to do a google search to give me the correct instructions to get the soundbar to work with my tv %26 that was irritating. I would call this soundbar a good option for the price.

I ordered the sound bar with my new Vizio TV. I ordered what I thought was the right one since it was linked to my new TV. However, it did not fit in any way. I honestly think someone put the wrong soundbar in the correct package. The quick fit holes did not line up, the sound bar had square ends rather than rounded, etc. I did return it and that was a pleasing experience. But, Walmart did not have even one Vizio soundbar in stock and the woman at the desk just told me another place to look. Still nothing. I think I found the correct one at Sam's Club, but we will see tomorrow when I have help to install it. Neither place had an associate to help with questions.

Half the time it didn't pickup the audio signal. The other times it was full of static. I also brought this for the volume leveling. It didn't help with that at all.
