I never thought I would need a landline again, but because of poor service with our phone carrier of late it became a necessity. I was told to purchase V-Tech and these phones did not disappoint. They were easy to set up and start using! Our delivery came within an hour and half from Walmart and I surely appreciated the expedited service! Even since we’ve switched phone carriers we will continue to keep these phones for emergencies and as a secondary line. I’ve had hour long conversations on these phones and the reception was perfect. The phones come with a charging station so you will be up and running in no time.

Yes, I yes I purchased them for an elderly friend of mine because she has a disability and it was hard for her to always reach the phone so now she has two phones and one right by her bed thank you so much and she loved them

Purchased on March 7, 2026. VTech CS5229-2 2 Handset Extended Range DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering System (Silver/Black). This is the second set of V-tech I have owned. First set I had about 4-5 years, ( minus the answering system) batteries would no longer charge , reason for new purchase. This new set of phones are thinner, slightly longer, screen is brighter and information on screen is larger print. Hearing sound is clear. Easy set up. Charged phones 24 hours before using. Love answering system. On the first time of use, one of the handsets charge only lasted for an hours worth of daily minutes. No issues since and monitoring situation.

A while back we bought the same phones but they were too narrow which made it hard to read the caller ID, so we bought same phones slightly wider screen and now I can read the Larger caller ID !

We've had this set since December and no issues. We enjoy the “call from” announcements. I really like the color also. Easy to set up and glad we purchased.

only thing.that I did not like is that the second phone base is so light. That the slightest touch of phone or table it stands on is bumped the phone falls over with base. This then cases charging to stop.

Battery stay quickly by that I mean if you take it off the charger for more than 24 maybe 36 hours it just goes dead no warning even look at it one minute it'll keep three bars and that it's just completely dead that goes for both cancers. It does not have the ability to. The way it stands on the charging base is not ideal at all, as it stands upright to fire, and if you touch it, it will easily fall over. I've had the brand before, and never had problems, But I am not at all happy with this particular model, or set up. It's just generally cheap.

No way to adjust incoming volume. Even speaker is hard to hear. I checked their app, was told it might be the battery. so bought new ones, no difference. Bought this new set (same model). Had thrown away all the packaging so can't return. This review is for both original phone and the new one.

With both handsets in the same room as and less than 20' from the base unit, they sporadically show a "Out of range or no pwr at base" message and will not answer calls even though base is in sight and ringing. When they do work, their range and sound quality are poor. Will be returning.
