This was a breeze from ordering to installation. The phone came a day earlier than anticipated, which in my business was nice! It powered up just fine, and getting it on line with our 3 other phone satellites went very smooth. I'd rate the phone a 10 out of 10 and the experience 11. :)

great features for business and home

Easy to set up, program and add multiple hand set phones.

The phone has the features I was looking for. My only disappointment when I received it, is the size of the print on the screen. I have to get my reading glasses to be able to read what is displayed, which in my opinion makes it less than user friendly.

I just purchased a VTech DS6151 Two-Line Expandable Cordless Phone with Answering System. I assembled the phone and plugged it in. The phone's handset has been charging for more than two hours but the LCD screen on the handset hasn't stopped flashing. I set the time and other settings but that did not remedy the issue. When I received the product, I noticed the battery pack wasn't sealed in plastic like the rest of the components. I suspect this product had been purchased by some other buyer, the new battery removed and a used battery returned in its place. I am the unfortunate customer who received a returned product with a used, dead battery. When the handset is in the charger the battery indicator shows a full charge. As soon as the handset is taken out of the phone charger, however, the battery strength meter drops to zero in a matter of seconds. This indicates a battery failing to hold a charge.
