I came from a dated spinning disk drive that was solely being used for game storage. The months leading up to buying this, I realized I would significantly benefit from upgrading to an SSD for loading performance. Needless to say, it was been in every way. It's not just that I can load into games faster, but also reducing things like pop-in and load textures faster. My only regret is that I didn't do this a long time ago. Highly recommend!

While this needed a factory firmware update via the Sandisk Dashboard Software to get it to work properly in Windows 11, this drive has been solid for the price! I got it before the tariffs kicked in %26 was on sale. Needless to say, it was a very good purchase! :D

I purchased this to replace a dead WD Blue M.2 drive. Do NOT purchase the Western Digital Blue series of NVME/M.2 solid state drives. They often either do not work out the box (like mine), or fail within a year. Just check the reviews. Unlike its WD Blue cousin, the WD Black hard drive was detected immediately after installation. Compared to the 8 year old Samsung 250GB SSD it was replacing, this 1TB drive has me zoomin'. A fantastic upgrade that was well worth the price.

Have bought 3 of these now and installation and performance are great. Everything is faster than the hard drives they replaced: loading the operating system, booting the machine, upgrades of the system (including large ones) and downloads. Excellent upgrade and so far even the first one which is about 1-1/2 years old still performs flawlessly.

After installing the SSD in my new enclosure, everything worked seamlessly. There were no delays or interruptions; only fast and clean read/write speeds, and smooth file transfers. I opted for a specialized enclosure designed to maximize the SSD's performance, effectively preventing any heat throttling. It's ideal for accessing music, movies, documents, and minor games.

Troubleshooting for weeks to figure out what was causing cpu kernel error event id 41. swapped out everything else and it turned out to be the SSD! All tests show the drive is fine but every time I use it, the computer crashes.

Drive died almost immediately after installation...the samsung evo 990pro next to it is fine and older... Don't waste your money on this, spend 10$ more and get a much more robust drive, and faster too

Don't get me wrong, the product itself is a good product And I received it quickly and it was a great price but it received one star from me because of this and you should know this also..... This review is for what happens when the product fails under warranty! Let me tell you, it's a nightmare big time! Good luck! Western digital SSDs are now warrantied under SanDisk also. They seem to have lost my warranty replacement and the problem is they cannot speak directly to the warehouse that ships it out. After doing some digging now I know why! I've even spoken to a manager high up with SanDisk and he can only communicate via email. But here's the thing, what a little due diligence I have the address and the phone number of where my warranty product would be coming from. The manager from SanDisk was amazed wonder why. Again the product might be okay but forget about the warranty and if that's what you're looking for you will be treated like Joe blow's SSD cards or SSD sticks.
