Heaven in a kettle. I love it so far, two decades of gas grilling was a waste. Hank Hill can eat his heart out because I like tasting the heat and the meat.
This Weber Grill is easy to use and makes barbecuing anything very easy.. It was easy to assemble following the instructions and illustrations. It also came with a 10 year limited warranty. The Weber grill is easy to move around my yard because it has wheels. There are vents on the top and the bottom of the grill to control the heat and a tray at the bottom of the grill too let out the used charcoal ash. It looks really good and I enjoy barbecuing on it at least twice a week. It is built very well and it is sturdy and strong. It is a safe grill for. Folks that are learning to grill. It is a well-known American favorite grill. I highly recommend it.
Love the grill! I had forgotten how good food cooked with charcoal tasted. This grill is very versatile. The only thing I can't quite get the hang of is hanging the lid on the edge of the grill. I have to kind look for the hook as it attaches to the grill's edge. It hangs well but takes a moment to get it right. I love the ash catcher and the rotating holes in which the ashes fall into the catcher. So easy and mess free!
Classic for a reason. It does not have bells and whistles because you don't need them.
Excellent quality. The body of the grill is thick enough to stop a .22 rimfire. It should last a good long time. Very easy to cook on with plenty of space, easy to clean up with a garden hose. Slow cooking using a sear basket makes ribs or loins silly simple. This is my first Weber product ever, so far I'm impressed.
I have had a few Weber kettle grills and they have always worked flawlessly. I really appreciate the newer design features like the heat shield on the lid handle and the hooks molded into the handle for hanging tongs and spatulas.
I've always wanted a charcoal grill and this fits the bill perfectly. I am challenged with the concepts of charcoal cooking but getting better at it each time I use it. Nothing like the original!
I have had several of the 22” Kettle charcoal grills. I love it, I cook on the grill at least 3-4 days a week. This grill last me about 6 years until shutter starts to fail. Not bad for as much as I use it. Very versatile from hamburgers and hotdogs to smoking brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Once you figure how to control the heat you can literally cook anything on it. This is the best grill for the price!!
I had one of these 22" Webers for 20 plus years. I also have a Weber gas grill 26 years old. It still working great but I mostly use the 22". Nothing better than charcoal or wood cooking/smoking. The only reason I bought the new 22" is the old one had a broken cleaning apparatus on the bottom. The new grill cooking grate came with a dent in it. So, I used my 20 year old seasoned one. Flavah! < Boston accent I have some after market items in going to add (hinged top %26 thermometer) , but it will void the warranty. So, don't do it unless you are a long time Weber user and know the grill will still last. Smoking meat requires temp control and I use the old school analog method. Enjoy your cookout!
This is one of the best grills I have owned. I gave only three stars because of some flaws. The one-touch cleaning system is too flimsy; mine has shed two of the three "petals", significantly limiting my control of the airflow. The other flaw is worse. The cooking grate is chrome plated steel. That is a stupid choice of material. The chrome flakes off into the food over time, leading to corrosion of the underlying steel. Worse, I'm feeding chrome flakes to my family. I accessed Weber's parts list online, looking for a stainless steel grate. Weber doesn't even make one. I'll have to resort to an aftermarket grate. Weber's classic bowl design is so well designed and well manufactured, it's a mystery to me why they would put such a cheap piece of garbage as their grate in their signature grill. A mystery and a disappointment.
