Wilton Oblong Cake and Cupcake Carrier, Practical Cupcake Container, Plastic

I like this cake holder. This is the one you want to buy! While searching for a cake holder for a 13X9 cake, I found, most don't hold a 13X9 cake, and the others, because they hold both cupcakes and cakes, many have a two inch lip and a removable tray, one side cupcake holder, the other flat for a cake. Putting the cake holder with cake inside the carrier makes it difficult to remove the cake for cutting. This one, the whole lid comes off, leaving the cake fully exposed and ready for slicing.

Handle lays in divot so they become stackable. Only issue I had with these was that the spots for the cupcakes werent tall enough so a few of them flipped in transit.

Solid and well made it appears that you can transport a cake as well in the flip side - I wish it was 24-count size and I wish it was a bit taller or higher so that toothpick decorations on top of cupcakes can be used.

I use this thing all the time. Brownies, sheet cakes and cupcakes.

Only reason I have given 4stars is that I have only washed it. I haven't been able to use it yet. It's bigger than the tupperware one I have so I am sure this will work fine. I am worried about the way the lid locks on but it was only 25.00.

It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it was the closest I could find however it was much higher priced. unfortunately, you cannot have a two layer cake in this carrier. It's not tall enough.

its better than nothing but i still think there are better designs available. i did not shop around because i needed something right away and wal mart usually has something that will work for a decent price.

Wilton has gone way downhill in their quality. This cake carrier is so thin and flimsy, and not tall enough. I made a single layer cake, frosted it with a normal amount of frosting, and it was touching the lid when I put the lid on. There was no way to decorate the cake prior to carrying it. Any decorations would've been ruined by the lid. There is no way I would trust carrying it by the handle either. It is made way too flimsy. Funny they charge just as much as they always have, for far inferior quality. I have an older Wilton cake carrier, which is very sturdy, and tall enough to put a two layer cake, with frosting and iced decorations on it, and still not have it touching the lid. So I'll need to keep using my older one, and only use this new one as a back-up for very short cakes.

I do like the size. I've purchased the rectangle carrier for making finger sandwiches. The latches are terrible. I would not carry this by the handle. The latches do not stay shut and they're very hard to close. Quality does not match the price.
