Wilton Performance Pan Aluminum 4" Round Cake Pan 2" Depth Layer Cake Baking Pan

Yes, it's just a cake pan. But I bought it because I needed a third layer and had just two of the same 8" cake pans. First, it matched my other pans exactly, even though the others are over 20 yrs. old. Second, my others are over 20 yrs old and still doing the job. The pans are light-colored, lightweight aluminum, which may seem bad (as in cheap), but it means that they're not as prone to overcook the sides of the cake the way heavier, darker pans will. Also, the perfectly straight sides make for a professional-looking, straight-sided cake. I have these pans in several sizes and like them a lot.

This is a very sturdy, heavy gauge, professional aluminum 4" diameter X 2" tall cake/muffin pan. Pan is not non-stick so greasing the bottom and then dusting it with flour before each use is necessary. Perfect for single serving cake and muffin recipes. This pan is exactly 1/4th the volume of an 8" round cake pan. Simply divide the ingredients of a two-layer eight-inch cake recipe by eight to obtain the amount needed for a this four-inch pan.

Nice and heavy. Used once already and the little cakes came out fine. I did put cake strips around all of them and it worked well for no edge browning. Still got some domes. I got 8 pans, but 6 worked for one cake mix. Must hand wash, but easy to get clean with enough dish soap.

This pan arrived in full working order - no assembly required. Just add batter and heat and viola! You have baked something! I'm pretty sure you can use this for things other than corn bread and brownies, but you're on your own if you do.

Great basic cake pans, work as intended. Practically non-stick when paired with parchment paper. Only frustration with them was the sticky label on the outside that didn't peel away easily and took a lot of scrubbing to get off.

I prefer to purchase things in person so that I could see if the pans matched the ones I had. So ordered 2 sets as if 2 different cake pans used for the same cake it can be a problem. Your website did not list the weight of the rotating cake plate; it is 2 lb 11 oz. I was looking for a heavier one.

after I received my pan I washed it and the pan became discolored and an almost powdery feel to it, I have not used it and do not intend to use it as I do not feel comfortable with the condition of it. I have many Wilton pans and never had a problem with them.

All my life I have been purchasing Wilton products. I needed to replace my brownie pan so of course, I chose Wilton. i was so surprised when I received this pan. Its NOTHING like my older pan. its flimsy and gross! It feels like nails on a chalk board! This is going back and I will no longer be purchasing Wilton products!

I cannot recommend this pan. As shown in the picture, it has a label covering the inside of the pan. I removed the label, put the pan in the dishwasher, and took it out to use. I was making cornbread, and after I poured the batter in the pan I noticed ANOTHER label on the side of the pan. It was stuck on tight, having gone through the dishwasher. I poured the batter into another pan, soaked the label in hot water with dish soap for about 15 mintues, and it came off. It's lightweight, and not worth the money or the hassle.

The cake pans do not have straight sides which is not noted in description. I can't use these so will have to return and a wasted delivery with no pans to use
