Wilton Bake it Better Steel Non-Stick Angel Food Cake Pan, 9.5 x 4-inch is the perfect size for Angel food cake recipes. No overflow as many other reviews did mention. My reason for making this purchase!!!!! Pleased and happy with the product!! Packaged well and Appreciate the fast shipment!!
Found ourselves at Daughter's and she wanted a nut cake we make at home , but did not have a bundt pan and since we are moving in with her soon did not want to spend a lot on the pan because I have several at home ; luckily Walmart had a variety of tube pans including this cheap one. But it is as good as one pan I have been using for years.
I haven't had an angel food cake pan since I moved. I wanted one for a long time, and now I finally have one. I specifically chose Wilson's cake pan, because their pans last longer and baked goods turn out much better in Wilson's pans than any other baking pans that I have ever used. I have been baking for years, since I was in elementary school, and Wilson's pans are by far the very best.
I was still using the angel food pan that I got as a wedding gift 50 years ago. This pan is amazing. I didn't leak out the bottom, the cake didn't lean to the right and the rise was perfect. I should have purchased a new pan a long time ago. Winton's pans aren't the cheapest or the easiest to care for, but they bake beautiful cakes.
Exactly what I needed and it was last minute with no time to get to the store. To my amazement it was delivered the same day. Wal-mart to the rescue.
I didn't realize until after I got it that this particular pan does not have the metal bars that extend from the top of the pan to allow air to circulate when it is cooling upside down. I needed the pan, so I kept it. It is far better than the 40-year-old angel food pan that I retired. I especially like that this one is non-stick, but I am still using spray and parchment paper whenever possible because it is not fool-proof.
Newly Purchased Wilton tube cake pan I was very unhappy with this purchase: I made an expense pound cake from scratch and the cake pan insert was not secure sitting in bottom of outside tube cake pan. The cake batter ran out from the middle insert and ran all over the stove when baking with this newly bought tube pan. Very disappointed and a big mess!!!!
Was making a cake for my husbands birthday and within 10 minutes of it in the oven, the batter had leaked over my entire oven and burned and then dripped out onto the floor. A frustrating mess and ruined the entire cake. I put water in after to see how bad it was and it leaks like a sieve. Worst baking item I've ever used.
Cake burned in pan baked at temperature package recommended and on right level in oven. Washed by hand and put in dishwasher and still did not come clean
It was been in my cake went straight through it in the oven. I had to clean my oven out because my entire cake went through the whole pan. It is not feeling like a bump pan is supposed to.
