My daughter wanted different flavors for her 7th birthday cake.

my mother made me checkerboard cakes every year for my birthday. There was 4 kids and when she died we all wanted the pan. We have been passing it around for 6 years. This is the first time I have seen one for sale. It works just like mothers did, now we all can have our own.

Good price for a four piece set. The only thing i didn't like was the pans aren't incredibly sturdy, but you get what you pay for. I would buy these again.

Maybe my expectations were to high but this product doesn't do what package says it does. The cake batter runs under the divider and the is no true checkerboard. I have tried it twice with bad results. A great idea if it worked as stated. I am an above average baker and I guess that is why I was so disappointed! Wilton needs to go to back to drawing board with this design!

You cannot do this with store bought cake mixes. They are too thin and will run under the divider. It must be done with thicker batters, or add less water to store bought mixes, possibly. A couple other things, if it included 3 dividers (one for each pan/layer, that would be great, so you don't have to rinse the divider off for each layer, you could just fill and move on to the next layer and be more efficient. The divider itself, as others have said, is cheaper and flimsy. If it was more sturdy and had a way to clip on the side of the pans to keep it centered while filling, even better! This product could use a lot of improvements. Especially a brand like Wilton, I would have expected more.

Very disappointed. the divider is cheap plastic and doesnt stay in place so checkerboard is not checkerboard. The name of product is suppose to be good quality....this missed the mark in quality and ingenuity.
