There is soft rubber strips on the inside of the clip that holds your hair up without pulling it. I just bought my second pack after wearing mine out over the last year. I could even play soccer in them and have my hair hold. Highly recommend them!!

They hold well with the rubber lined claws but do not hurt my scalp. They hold up a long time and only break when I drop or accidently squash them. I've purchased back ups so they're always on hand.

I use these all the time on my buns. They're good and durable. Unless you're too rough with it and aren't careful while removing it from your hair, it should last you for years! (I have a few that are holding up even after 3-4 years but of course I'm not rough with them)

I have thick, mid-back length hair. These clips are amazing and have been successful at holding my hair in a bun while playing pickleball. Love them and have bought several. One bad thing: if dropped, the clip 50 percent of the time will usually break. Ugh! SO, be careful with them. Treat them with respect and the clips will serve you well :)

These are my favorite clips to tie up my long but thin hair. Medium size with rubbery grippy strips inside to help grab onto hair. Whether these are the right size depends on how much hair you have! These are sturdy but I tend to play with my hair clips so they end up breaking eventually.

These medium octopus clips are exactly what I've been looking for in stores and couldn't find. I have a large one to put back all of my hair, but wanted medium ones to pull up only the top. I especially love that they are slightly pliable and have a little rubber on the inside to stay in your hair. The clips stay, but don't pinch or pull my hair. I am very happy with them. I liked the price, too.

I got these to put my hair up after washing it in the shower. This keeps it off my face and out of the hot water that can strip extra oil while I continue my shower. Then at the very end, I take the clip out and condition my hair. I also use them to keep my hair out of the way while applying makeup. The other type of clips tend to turn/twist and slip, but not these. The little spring does eventually rust from using it in the shower, but I will continue to buy these whenever they give out.

The picture showed a gray and a black; I received a brown and a black. They work well; the rubber grippers really grab onto my hair without pulling it. I gave it three stars because the colors were not as shown; wish I got the gray one!
