YADA 720P HD Roadcam Universally Compatible Window Mounted Dash Cam, 2" LCD Display, Loop Recording, G-Sensor Day/Night Security

I really can't complain about this dashcam at all. It's a basic camera with basic functions. Another reviewer said this is a good “starter dashcam” and I agree. It does what it's supposed to do and it gets the job done. There aren't any bells and whistles and if you're expecting some fancy contraption to mount on your dash and impress your friends with, this isn't it. Well, I guess that depends on how simple your friends are. You'd have much better luck impressing them with the price. I bought three of these, for my daughters and myself, and the only real complaint I have is that it plugs into the cigarette lighter—which is also where my Bluetooth transmitter plugs in, along with my phone charger. First world problems, I know. Anyway, after replacing my existing transmitter with one that has multiple USB ports I'm good to go. I can listen to my music and charge my phone while recording the world around me (the camera also came with a micro SD card—smaller capacity than I think I would've chosen, but I can't see why the average person would want to save the recordings 24 hours a day anyway—unless you own a Tesla, but you wouldn't be looking to buy a dashcam from Walmart if you do.) The interface is basic and easy to use. If you just want an affordable dashcam that is so simple even your grandma can use it, this is it. [I have to brag a little because after promo codes and discounts and a coupon, I only paid $3.16 for three of these. The fact that they really do work is icing on the cake.]

Like: the price, its sturdy, easy to setup and use. Dislike: Easily fills up memory card and there is no option to continue recording by writing over existing data. Need to erase or format the card often.

Seems to work well and I got it really cheap but it seems sometimes it stops recording and I have to press record..I don't know if I have to rewind it to erase and let it record again

the biggest issue is that the sd card has to continue to be reformatted almost every day. it works well, nice picture, easy to set up,(except the time stamp) and easy to remove from windshield.

the idea was a good one just expect what you pay for. theres a light that stays on and it reflects on the window and cant figure out how to shut it off

Bought two of these Yada 720P dash cams. One is fine, but the other had a damaged clip that holds it to the clamp so it is not held on very securely. More importantly, the time and date function is defective and whenever the Yada shuts off (when you turn off the car) and restarts, the date resets to 1-1-2021. So, every time you want to use it, you have to reset the date and time. This does not happen with the other unit I bought.

Upon getting this camera out of the package, it felt so cheap and hollow that you'll guess what corners had to be cut to get this product as cheap as it is. The suction of the attachment is such a joke, it can't hold for longer than 2 minutes before peeling itself off from the windshield. As far as recording goes, you do have to keep pressing buttons for the device to record and do it's thing. It's quality is decent, I mean it's 720p so don't get your hopes up for 1080p or 4K. The cable is too long to where it could pose a tangling problem in your vehicle. All in all, you get what you paid for here.

This product is cheaply made. It has never kept a charge since the day i took it out of the box. When u tried to get replacement, I was just left with going around and around that I have up! just as I suspect they hope most customers will do! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I've looked everywhere trying to figure out how to get this to loop record. I've found that others have the same issue. I shouldn't have to buy another memory card to hopefully get this to work. It should do what it says it will do. If I needed a bigger memory card it should say “memory card included won't work”. I will be getting my money back.

The cord just completely stopped working. I checked my car outlets are they work with other devices so im not sure why it just stopped out of nowhere. The quality wasnt that great. it came with 4gb SD card and can only hold up to 15gb SD card. I am trying to buy another cord to see if i can get the camera working again. however for $4.20 u get what u paid for.
