Amazing grill. Easy to put together just pay attention to instructions. This is my second one needed more room. Don’t pay the extra for just a name brand.
It gives more bang for the buck over the Traeger Pellet grill and ZGrills manufactured other pellet smokers/grills for years for others. Got a larger grilling surface than I would’ve gotten with a Traeger for the price.
I've only had this grill for a week and grilled 4 racks of ribs, which turned out great and grilled a 18 lb turkey which also turned out great, and used 5 lbs of pellets for the ribs and another 6 lbs for the turkey. I also like the fact that I have a standard 3 year warranty. The grilled took about 2 hours to assemble and the directions where well done. Needed help for maybe 15 minutes. Recommend lining the drip tray with foil, making cleanup much easier. Paid 550 which included tax
Package arrived 4 days before it was supposed to so that was awesome. I love that it’s a smoker and can also crisp your meat. Works fantastic and very easy to use
Very nice functionality. I had done the whole cycle to burn all the manufacturing chemicals off then I put a cover on it and jt sat for a week. Opened it up and it's pretty rusted already. Instructions are a bit confusing to get it started the first time. But after that pretty straight forward. Help temperature pretty well. On a 50 degree night I got 2.5 hours out of a full hopper of pellets. I wish there was a bit larger of a capacity. Especially for what I consider a pretty pricey smoker.
Ratings reflect that the item delivered was incomplete. Only received box 2 of 2 - the grill accessories box. The main grill was not delivered. As can be seen in the attached photo, it's definitely not a full grill or anything close to it.
Went to put the smoker together today and the grill chamber is bent inward. Cover doesn’t fit flush and paint is cracked which will make it prone to rust in that spot. I’ve reached out to Z Grills asking to have a new grill chamber sent so stay tuned to see how this is handled. If handled satisfactorily I will be happy to update the review.
This is not a review of the performance of the grill, as I have not used it yet. This is a review of the state of the grill as it came to me. A brand new grill was packaged with the left side of the barrel pushed in. It is pushed in enough to put a stress crack/break around the middle-front where it comes in contact with the horizontal support. It's pushed in enough that the upper and middle racks do not rest on the supports like they're supposed to. Also, b/c of this issue, the lid does not close tight enough on the left side and has a large gap. I can only expect a lot of heat and smoke to escape here if it doesn't get fixed. This means I either have to beat the left side back out with a hammer (and hope it works) or I need a new, non-broken, grill. What say you Wal-Mart? What can you do about this or what should I do about this? Also, I bought this with the purpose of using it this weekend for Father's Day so I don't have a lot of time to work this out. You can see in the pictures, the left side of the "barrel", a close up of the stress crack/break, the grates not level/laying where they're supposed to, and the gap between the door and the barrel.
first time using after burn off. 16lbs brisket everything fine for first 7 hrs at 225° then disaster happened all paint bubbled off the outside and inside completely disappointed completely junk
Yes, package arrived late and the product is damaged. Now I destroyed the box and the packing material and I have a damaged smoker.
