Zulka Pure Cane Sugar, 8 lb, Vegan & Plant Based and Non GMO

Love this stuff. It does take a little bit longer to dissolve compared to highly processed, bleached and filtered kinds but wirth it imo.(Beware people with animal allergies most of those others are are filtered through charcoal that contains animals!) It has that hint of dark decadence that makes turbinado style sugars go further. While not organic I trust Zulka miles further than the large majority of brands. I find it's less triggering for my IBS and migraines but I wouldn't claim it to be completely non-triggering, each person's limits are different. On my journey to manage my health having an affordable, more readily available, consistently safer option is so important. Rather than having to go all in on every ingredient at the most expensive and least accessible options. It also complies with my doctors' advice to NOT switch to sugar free. So this makes more foods and recipes available. Leaving me with more energy and money to track down hard to find ingredients like low salicylic gluten free low FOD-MAP flours and starches that are a higher priority for me. This is an excellent non GMO sugar and excellent price for the quantity and quality. HOWEVER, the last time I received it, via a shipping order from Walmart, I received a product that should not have been sent to ANYONE. It was a bag with huge rock-like clumps in it, that clearly whomever chose to fill the order could see. Yes I received a refund, but to whomever filled or shopped this order, shame on you!!!

My son convinced me not to buy "regular" sugar - it's not all made from sugar cane (I had no idea at the time) So, now this is my all-time go-to for sweet tea, which is always in my fridge, I also converted to green tea to make it a tad "healthier" lol

This sugar is nothing like the nasty processed white stuff. This is real. It has a sweet taste and you feel better eating it. Yes, it goes through a process to become what it is but not like the white stuff. We have been using this sugar for probably 13 years now. Always happy with it. We use it cup for cup as other sugars. It goes in coffee, baked goods, smoothies and more.

This product is great for an alternative to white granulated sugar. You can use this sugar the same way. I still use granulated sugar in some recipes. However, Zuku is my go to sugar (e.g. coffee, tea, some cobblers, pies, puddings, etc.). The sugar is not as sweet as granulated.

Dont know why ZULKA SUGAR is such a big deal? read up on their website. but the short of it is, If you need to eat clean, free of toxins, then this is the sugar for you. NO BONE CHAR! this means the liquid sugar cane is NOT dried over bones using natural gas, so you won't have to worry about hair loss... among other things.. teah really, go read up or find a video on the topic of bone char and how sugar is made. you're welcome

Zulka is the only sugar our family uses now. So glad I found and tried it. It makes great tea and I use it in baking and cold desserts even though it is coarser than most white sugars. The taste is richer and it's a good price for the volume. Try it and you won't regret it.

The product is good ,the fact that I ordered this sugar and they sent me toothpaste instead is the reason for the one star. The driver scanned the package and it showed the order complete. Not sure how since toothpaste and sugar are totally different. At least they told not to return the item and refunded my money for the sugar.

Don't recommend at this point. It's very damp. Like sand. I set the pottery sugar bowl on the hottest spot on the of the coffee maker. It doesn't help! I've purchased many times before. It was never damp. I store the rest in a large Tupperware…the real Tupperware…designed for pantry items. July 10, 2026

So many on the surface pluses, but ultimately I would not recommend this sugar. Every time I've purchased it, there are huge clumps that are as hard as rocks. Unbreakable clumps. I wish that wasn't the case bc it's a great price. I'll have to get one that's higher priced next time.
