Everything you would expect in a smoke alarm. Emits a loud Sqeak!! When button is pressed. Looks very stylish on my ceiling and in my trailer home. If you don't want to expire in a fiery blaze, these are for you. I also noticed that they are like a suppers ready bell too!

I like the small design. It's already proved that it works well without being too sensitive. Easy to install and use. The reset button actually works. Only negative is I need to paint the ceiling because of the old paint from decades ago was hidden by the old detector.

Compact but a good reliable brand with AA batteries already installed. I replaced an old alarm that went off in the middle of the night just because it was 14 years old. Better to replace at ten years, the suggested limit for use. AA batteries are the cheapest to buy for replacements.

This smoke detector was super easy to install and I like the appearance of this one way better than the old version we had. Its smaller and just looks better overall.

I had to replace all the alarms in my house and I ran across this item! It was a BARGAIN compared to all the others!!! I can't say what the battery life is, because I just installed it HOWEVER, it CAME with a battery. It was a set of 4, each one had its own battery!!! Installation was easy and hassle free.

We've had three First Alarm smoke detectors die in the past year, possibly because of renovation, so it was time to switch brands and so far Kidde is impressive.

I bought this brand thinking it would be quality as we have had issues with other cheaper brands in the past. Well of course at 1:30am it starts malfunctioning doing a rapid 3 beep every minute in my toddler sons bedroom. Husband swaps batteries and resets it thinking maybe it needed new batteries not even 7 months later. We all finally go back to sleep hours later just for it to start doing it again at 6am

I bought this in January 2026, today it woke me up at 3 am with its very loud intermittent three-beep low-battery (I guess)* alarm. I was just going to replace the batteries until I read the reviews on this from other people and now I figure I'll just get something else. I have other Kidde smoke alarms that I have no problem with, it's just this one that's a dud. *When I've had some coffee I'll look it up in the manual but in any case it was too loud and there was no fire. I don't know why low battery chirps have to be this loud.

I bought 3 and these are the worst smoke detectors I have ever used! Steam from the shower sets them off. My husband vapes and they start screaming. Save your money for something better! DO NOT buy these!

We purchased the Kidde Fire Alarm in August of 2025, and by January of 2026, it was beeping as though the batteries were already dead. We put new batteries in it, but the beeping has continued. We tried another set of new batteries, but the problem persisted and no, there was no smoke, my house wasn't on fire. Now we're not sure what to do.
