(2 pack) Magic Man Chili – Plant-Based Detroit Style with Beans Chili, 15?oz Can , Vegan, Gluten free, Soy free, Seed Oil free

This was a hit at thanksgiving. I made my own (cashew based) cream cheese and mixed them together in a small crock pot for appetizers before the meal. This dip was preferred over the sausage and Velveeta meat dip. Mine was gone and there was still 2/3 of that dip left and these were non vegans at the dinner. Magic is the key word in the Chili, you keep doing that voodoo Chef Pete and I'll keep buying your products. There's nothing bad in this can, unbelievable!

Perfect over rice. That is how I eat my Magic Man chili. And...with the snowy weather today, I'm going to have a great tasting meal. All the chili flavors we expect. I luv this brand. It is my second purchase. I recommend. TY.

I guess I didn't know what “Detroit style” chili is. This is more like a sauce or condiment than chili you'd want to eat by itself. Very thin, and very, very salty. I questioned whether my “with beans” can was accidentally filled with the “no beans” variety, until I found two whole beans in it. If they're there, I guess they're blended in to this “Detroit style” chili.

I Will admit that being a Magician, I bought this because of the can and thought it was cool looking label and concept. Hoping, it would taste as good as it looked. It wasn't too my liking at all. It was an just an illusion.
